Looking great! I started one of these long ago. I didn't remember that I had it til I say this thread. I like what I see so far. What did you use on the rims?
Nice build Chuck. I like the Cummins swap. I've traded off every Detroit from these kits and replaced it with either a 3406, or a Cummins. I like the hood extension as well.
Wow! It,really looks great Dennis. The hinges, latch, and overall construction of the container are the high level of precision that we've become accustomed to.
That outa fill up that engine compartment. What are you thinking for a gear box?If you need axles or a transfer case, I may have them. Just let me know.
I'm glad you posted this. I've been collecting materials for a 58 tandem build. Do you have any more info/photos of that "over the shoulder" tandem set up? Thanks
Excellent build Mark. Your an expert with the details. The snake is a nice touch. I grew up in a junk yard, and I give this my stamp of authenticity. I would like to see more pics of this if possible. What year is it?
Thanks for the info! I have a few of those Whites myself. One of them will be the Autocar experimental turbine Coe. I look forward to seeing your build.
I was out and about today, so I stopped and gave some more of my money to Hobby Lobby. The mailman also dropped off another diecast Great Dane. Jim, I'm up to 4 now!
I have a Coke one in a box somewhere.
I nabbed a few things for a new project idea. I grabbed a 60 Chevy pickup on ebay to convert into a C70. I also bought a 61 GMC brochure, as I plan to get a few more of these kits and build a couple as GMC 5500's. I also scored a Chevy 409 from Bismark to turn into a 301 V6 for this projects. The frame will be scratch built because of its unique shape.
heres some shots of the brochure
I plan on building the C70 as a wrecker. I couldn't resist getting started.
