  1. Nice mods to the frame. It looks like the real deal
  2. Looking great! I started one of these long ago. I didn't remember that I had it til I say this thread. I like what I see so far. What did you use on the rims?
  3. Nice clean build JT. I like the tool boxes on the trailer.
  4. Nice build Chuck. I like the Cummins swap. I've traded off every Detroit from these kits and replaced it with either a 3406, or a Cummins. I like the hood extension as well.
  5. Grear job so far. I wheel/tire upgrade takes any build to the next level.
  6. Great job. Thats a good looking truck.
  7. Wow! It,really looks great Dennis. The hinges, latch, and overall construction of the container are the high level of precision that we've become accustomed to.
  8. Sounds good. Be sure to reinforce that frame, or you'll twist it up!
  9. That outa fill up that engine compartment. What are you thinking for a gear box?If you need axles or a transfer case, I may have them. Just let me know.
  10. I like it even more now. The pipe bumper is cool.
  11. I'm glad you posted this. I've been collecting materials for a 58 tandem build. Do you have any more info/photos of that "over the shoulder" tandem set up? Thanks
  12. Very cool man. I used to see welding trucks running around all over. This is a good throw back, great subject.
  13. Great idea! Is the welder scratch built?
  14. Excellent build Mark. Your an expert with the details. The snake is a nice touch. I grew up in a junk yard, and I give this my stamp of authenticity. I would like to see more pics of this if possible. What year is it?
  15. Thanks for the info! I have a few of those Whites myself. One of them will be the Autocar experimental turbine Coe. I look forward to seeing your build.
  16. I had no idea that Heller was making them Western Star. Good to know. What are you going to use as a donor for the White 7400?
  17. I was out and about today, so I stopped and gave some more of my money to Hobby Lobby. The mailman also dropped off another diecast Great Dane. Jim, I'm up to 4 now! I have a Coke one in a box somewhere.
  18. I nabbed a few things for a new project idea. I grabbed a 60 Chevy pickup on ebay to convert into a C70. I also bought a 61 GMC brochure, as I plan to get a few more of these kits and build a couple as GMC 5500's. I also scored a Chevy 409 from Bismark to turn into a 301 V6 for this projects. The frame will be scratch built because of its unique shape. heres some shots of the brochure I plan on building the C70 as a wrecker. I couldn't resist getting started.
  19. I'm just glad that I get to watch this! Superb work Charles. There's no doubt that this truck will look exactly like the 1:1, if not better.
  20. Super job so far Pavel. I'm very interested in that paint streaking technique. That is one of the coolest things I've seen. The truck looks great.
