  1. Sweet ... that body is a beauty. The decals look nice and flat and opaque ... what problem were they? Is the whiskey glass a before or after pic?
  2. What a beauty ... I think you just sold a dozen or so of that kit ... the steering wheel is great but the seat you did is exceptional!
  3. This thing looks hot ... and I mean 'hot' as in I wouldn't wanna touch those exhausts! i really like your style Bruce ...
  4. Hello? Everything ok Harry?
  5. ... umm, I'm not bored I think this is pretty cool. You going to add "dust" on top of that black as the last touch?
  6. Beautiful! nice amount of weathering ... all spruced up and ready to go again ...
  7. Best of luck Cato. You and your work have been most inspiring to me. As a matter of fact I will be moving to 1/8 scale and hope to one day do a rendition of this same model ... modified of course (Allison?) with Blue Bird inspired coach work ... but that's in the future. For now, I'm looking at a 32 ford speedster with a modified boattail from a Pocher alpha Monza ... and I'm gonna need some help Get well sir.
  8. Running boards that look like fine jewelry ... beautiful hope you're feeling better Cato and Happy Thanksgiving to you ... and everyone here
  9. Cool ... I like your style that parma body makes a great funny car skin ...
  10. This is great ... I always thought this car would be best as a Resistance vehicle and your skills are a great match for that ... can't wait to see the bullet holes ...
  11. Great mods, design and colors. Hood, "guards," wheels, spoilers and interior are really coooool ... and match that blower about as good as it gets on that car
  12. ... you sound like you just won a beauty pageant ...
  13. Bo, your work is truly inspiring ... your first Pocher and that after a time away from modeling with the results you're showing is astounding ... Bravo Stunning photos as well!
  14. Harry's right ... i was describing the stuff if one HAD to use gesso ... say, like a middle-aged graphic artist who once had aspirations to become a great artist and had a gallon or two in the basement under a few rolls of cotton duck for stretching over a frame to provide a surface for the said gesso providing the perfect opportunity for the above "artist" who long ago decided to settle down and have a family and provide for them and enter a career trade that afforded a roof and food for that family that in turn offered love and appreciation which offset any deep seeded frustration and resentment the middle-aged production artist may have had ... so he might use the gesso since he had no more friggin use for it anyway ...
  15. Gesso is a ground for fine art painting ... it's acrylic and will last indefinitely ... however, because it is a ground it has a "tooth" to it for holding overpaint and is somewhat absorbent for permanence ... so if you use it, be sure to seal it ... I'd suggest a semi-gloss clear acrylic to offset the flat gesso finish ... I'd guess Future would be too shiny ... my take any ways ...
  16. people like you (and there're many) whine and cry when you or your team gets beaten (and Im sure the Patriots have beaten your team) and you call others sensitive and insecure ... that's not how it works ... despite what your mom and dad told you about winning and losing ... don't be sad ... just change your signals nest time ... if you really think that's what beat ya ...
  17. looking up at a scoreboard and denying what you see because your team (although they "knew" they were being cheated) decided not to change their signals and lost, must be horrendously miserable. its a man's game ... always has been ... it seems though it's now too complex for a generation of children brought up on participation trophies ... to watch the last SB or Friday's win and deny the methods of one of the most successful teams in history, but blame it on cheating (as Tomlin cried), is miserable
  18. you luck ... make sure you use a period-correct blower. I hear they're very hard to find ... so maybe a GMC ...
  19. "As usual when Pocher engineered friction fits, the male part is too big to fit into the female part." Those crazy Italians ... Great tip on the epoxied fitting. Thanks
  20. If my car looked like that I'd open the hatch and drive it backwards ...
  21. I vote dark green ... for what it's worth
  22. Great work Harry. It's Monday ... how's your eyes? I hope they're good. I admire your patience with your healthcare providers. I'm losing faith in doctors. After decades of being the perfect patient, I feel like I have to be my own overseer of everything medical wise now. I miss the days when I could go to a doctor and trust everything they told me. Hang in there Harry. This RR is looking fantastic!
  23. This stuff says it's good to 2200 degrees F : http://www.ebay.com/itm/AW-Perkins-240-Castable-Fire-Brick-Refractory-Cement-12-5-lb-Dry-mix-clay-/181326781252?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
  24. You nailed that trunk Cato. There's part of me (big part) that doesn't want to see this end ... I'm having too much fun watchin
