I got ahead of myself buying all the kits that I have. I figure if I build 1 kit a month(that's if I don't buy any more kits)I should have them all built buy the time I hit my 180th birthday...Joe

The only kits I have ever despised were the Airfix models! I have had several from planes to cars. And none of them ever fit together with out hugh gaps and thin plastic...Joe

Palmdale Ca. B&N did not have Model Cars magazine! They did have SA and FSM and several other Japanese magazines...Joe

I disagree. The reason I "don't" build box stock is no matter what the subject is, it's boring to me. Don't get me wrong, you box stock builds are beautiful! Just "I" can't do that. All or most models are based on a real subject. ok well I want to build something that doesn't exist! I don't care how well or how bad a model is produced, I want to change it. Quality of the model doesn't matter cause I'm gonna bash it anyway.. Of course the better the quality, the easier it is to bash. I've bought models that have cost over $100,(though that doesn't happen often cause I can't afford it) and cut them up with no second thought......I think its a function(or malfunction) of the builders brain.....lol...Joe

Me too! I tried to build box stock this year. It drove me nut.....finely go it done, but it nearly killed me following those directions. Never ever again.....Joe see link below
