  1. Paint color is Humbrol # 20 Crimson over red primer. greg
  2. I want to public thank 'TruckerAL' for helping with the missing parts. greg
  3. This what I'm looking to do with the Dodge: Chrysler silver, a few Bill Beezo decals and light bar call it done greg
  4. There used to be a way of telling what scale by the catalog numbers. Looks like the numbering system has changed. I think you want to look for 'G' scale items. They are in car model scale. greg
  5. Sorry, too many T's in my life thinking of the other trainer T-38 Talon. Yes I know the Talon is a jet trainer. Last Trojan I saw they were changing a 'jug' at an air show. greg
  6. Interested in the T-28 Talon? check this out: https://www.proxibid.com/1951-NORTH-AMERICAN-T28-A-NAVY-TRAINER/lotInformation/67290670?utm_source=bm23&utm_medium=email&utm_term=1951+North+American+T28-A+Navy+Trainer&utm_content=Proxibid's+Featured+Vehicles,+Marine+%26+Aviation+Auctions+|+March+14+-+April+4&utm_campaign=vehiclesblast_03.14.22 It's for sale. 1 to 1 scale model greg
  7. Condolences to his family and friends, Now I've lost both Jim and Dave. greg
  8. What irks me is the model manufactures that relabel/misidentify the model. ie the thread right now regarding the AMT 'Big Rig' trailer. That was originally IMC/Testors kit. It is getting confusing to see Revell morph into AMT morph into MPC morph into AMT morph into Italeri morph into Atlantis morph into Monogram morph into Ertl etc. etc. etc........ If you don't have license to use the original manufacturer, just put it out as a rerelease under your company name. greg
  9. Still modifying the LNT engine to fit. greg
  10. I don't have a white rig in my build collection, so I gave it a shot. This is an old Pinecrest cab and the AMT ALF pumper body. Body was broken previous to construction and cracked during assembly when the kit interior was placed. It fits on the city delivery chassis without any wheelbase alterations. AMT Ford LNT wheels used. greg
  11. One of my first car models was the AMT kit, nice job on the land yacht. Be sure to check Jay Leno's garage show where he critiques a 1958 Continental not yet a Lincoln. greg
  12. Great piece from the innovative 70's. I don't think the idea got any further than Pennsylvania. Probably on the west coast. Lots of the mini stuff was built by the smaller manufacturers like Hammerly. The Dodge was used a lot in fire apparatus applications. Early chariot, nice to see. Paul Kort mini pumper using the Revell midnight cowboy cab Unknown builder from FAMBA meet. Big rig with big reels Ted Calvin's CDR foam rapid response vehicle My version of mini pumper using MPC Dodge and Chevy pumper kits greg greg
  13. Yes, the entire 'glass' tree was green including the running light lenses. If anyone has the battery step, front fender side reflectors, and the passenger side lower body extension and want to part with them I'm interested. greg
  14. Going to make another mold, not quite what I wanted. greg
  15. OK, Time to get this back to auto modeling. My original comment was regarding what was called 'milk carton models.' Back in the 70's oil crisis there was more recycled beads added to the injection machines due to lack and cost of real styrene beads. For those that don't remember or seen the plastic was off color, sometimes opaque and pearlized. Here is a comparison for you to see. greg
  16. The Valiant guitar plant was also destroyed. greg
  17. This is to replace a model I gave away to a medical fundraiser raffle. The AMT American Lafrance pumper body placed on the AMT Ford C cab delivery frame. Modified the wheelbase, Mix of Testor's red paints, and tarp made of paper. greg
  18. Getting this one back together after 15 years of sitting in shoe box. Kept the green windows and headlights. Used MPC Mack fenders in rear. Can't find battery step, passenger side body extension and the front fender reflectors. Unknown front bumper I grabbed out of the parts box. greg
  19. The project continues. Made mold of the die cast. Once cleaned up will drill out lights and use kit lights. still working on hood greg
  20. Nice job on the car. My one question would the Monogram kit being 1/24th and the Lindberg kit being 1/25th show the difference of the downsizing the real car had or are the kits the same size? greg
  21. Is this show still on? greg
  22. Thanks for posting, nice to see some of the older show cars back on the circuit. greg
  23. Contact paypal and advise them regarding what occured with your account, there is a paypal site to report fake sites to them. greg
  24. There might be a few of us who remember $1.39/49 kits and .10cent Testor's paints. My first car model was a AMT 1959 Mercury convertible. greg
  25. Will we be seeing 'milk carton' plastic again? Will model prices go out of the range of the hobbyist? greg
