  1. My thought would be to try to drill them out from the back. greg
  2. I could see a whole squadron of these: Tuskegee red tail, Quicksliver, Yeager's, Roush's, Old Crow, Tugboat (Empire of the Sun movie) Hopefully no invasion stripes or maybe. Years ago Aurora did a series of race cars with military decals: Jaguar, Ford GT, Chapparal. Nice looking project greg
  3. Mock up of Smashing the AMT fire truck kits. Pump added to Aero Chief kit, Duals from AMT Ford LNT. Chopped off roof to make open cab style. Boom borrowed from previious kit greg
  4. I would suggest CA glue. I used it on this Sutphen ladder tower mating evergreen strips with brass L 's to form the aerial cage. greg

  6. This one is done: Moved to under glass model trucks greg
  7. Thanks Tom for setting the record straight. There is always one person who you would give a 100 dollars to and they would complain about one side of the bills being green
  8. I would just laminate/mate the deco rear protion to the kit fenders. just scratch the back ones. Use the Ladder/aero chief chassis, the pumper won't be long enough. greg

  12. If my mind isn't in Biden mode aren't the decals really stickers? good luck with the build. I posted these before but here is a comparison of the AMT Allison, MPC/Airfix Mustang and Spitfire Merlins. If your interested in an MPC/Airfix Merlin let me know I have an extra greg
  13. At my friends garage: 1968 Barracuda about to get dual exhaust, four barrel and manifold, 4 speed, on a 318 block greg
  14. Ford/Wheeled Coach 84-129 type II ambulance greg
  15. This was gifted to me after years of service. My plan is for it to be decoration only. Got full repiaint, changed roof light into siren with cough syrup cup, bottle cap headlights wheels and tire reversed and painted, and front radiator added to scheme. greg
  16. My experience is that the tip is divided into 4 sections. I cleaned mine with 90% rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. It has a larger wick inside the barrel. make sure that the tip at the end is exposed and not jambed up in the barrel. greg
  17. Also the Welly Land Rover has plastic flairs if you have the patience to cut them from the body panels. greg
  18. I cobbled my fender flairs from the AMT ford van kit (Phantom). Just a little bending and trimming. greg
  19. Very interpative creation of post war modern design. May I suggest since the name is Hurricaine Typhoon The designers might have used surplus Napier engines from the Hawker Typhoon fighters. As defined by Wikipaedia: The Napier Sabre is a British H-24-cylinder, liquid-cooled, sleeve valve, piston aero engine, designed by Major Frank Halford and built by D. Napier & Son during World War II. The engine evolved to become one of the most powerful inline piston aircraft engines in the world, developing from 2,200 hp (1,600 kW) in its earlier versions to 3,500 hp (2,600 kW) in late-model prototypes. greg
  20. Thank you so very much for the answer. I will be getting better bifocals this year. greg
  21. I've dealt with all types of complainers and some have said that I am guilty of same transgression. My saying is 'If they (he/she) were given a million dollars they would complain because one side is green.' greg
