Hey Ray, Thanks for you input on the post! Raymond Chapman is a GOD!!! Our stories follow a similar vein, I started modeling again after a 35+ year hiatus (haven't finished one yet) but I know what you mean! I'm still getting the brushes wet on a regular basis. Actually there are more Letterhead and Pinhead events than 20 years ago and I try t get to at least 2 or 3 a year. Drop me a PM and I will give you more information! I feel honored that your first post was here! Jimmy "RASS"

I here ya Tubbs About remembering yesterday! I was just busting your chops on the S&FS tune no harm no foul. I know you know the two ladies on 3588! When you get it you will go doh. I'm going to have to listen to some more Head East! Great Band Thanks for the credit on the two tunes!! I didn't totally get them but I was close!
-
Post 3588 #2 & #3 Hint!!! Both of these ladies played multiple instruments but are known more for their vocals and were in bands. They were popular in the 80s I the songs I posted, fans of these performers would know the songs or heard them, otherwise they may be obscure.

Harry, you have my vote! How many times are they going to screw around with that rule!! I say referendum and revolt! Tubb's, You are so right on!!! Poor coaching in the second half, the defense played them looser than a hookers ho ha. They didn't get beat! They beat themselves again!!! I mean Shermans arm is hanging on the ground and you don't expose that GEEZ. 16 points in like 19 seconds (or whatever the number was) In all the interviews I saw those boys were in a daze!

I hope everyone continues to support CC magazine and go's out and purchases ET Magazine (don't forget the back issues) For my money it's been the best thing out there since they started the series. I called CC about a month ago with fear that they were going to dump the series, they said they were late in getting to the printer. I spoke with Amy Diamond ( VP Editorial Operations) much to her surprise she said that she has gotten allot of feed back from modelers about the publication! WAY TO GO MODLERS!!!!! She also said if any of us gray hairs know any Drivers, Crew Members and the like from back in the day they would love to hear from US!!!! I have every Issue and have read each one from cover to cover many times as I always learn something. Living Just North of Kenosha Wi, Never a big fan of the AMC stuff but always a fan of Wally Booth, due to his connection with the auto maker just down the road and he did allot of Match Racing at Great Lakes Dragway, Union Grove, Wi. I was not aware of his brilliance and his connection with the Grump, fascinating story!

Maybe I did but don't remember a few things from those day!!! if you know what I mean Mike, Thanks for the vid and turning me on to the Bad Finger version!

Can't Live if living is without you? Have no Idea of artist. I'm gonna say like summer of 73-75 I though a One Hit Wonder artist had a hit with that tune. Pretty Lame for Badfinger

Nick, When I was with Jay He said the 2nd. I may have Misunderstood or he may have told me the wrong date (It's been nuts for him) you can call the store at 414-281-1800 to confirm! Actually things are pretty picked over! I was surprised. They still have a fair amount of airbrushes and airbrush parts, not many or special kits, tools are pretty worked over! Still had a good selection of modeling paint, Autoair, One Shot. I was there on Friday Mid Morning and the place was packed, I would Imagine it was like that all weekend, And everyone was paying full price! From what I saw I don't know what will be left for the liquidation Co which is great for Jay and Chris. I will see him after the store closes as we do some social things together but I will miss GNH J"RASS"

A good friend of mine is closing a family Hobby Shop business after 40+ some years, many of you may know him (Jay Gordon of Greenfield News and Hobby) Jay has been long time friend and we had breakfast on Fri. The bottom line is the hobby shop business is not what it used to be, Internet sales has killed allot of his business and they never really got on board with the internet sales thing. I'm not Happy GNH is closing but I am happy for Jay and his wife Chris, they have so many things they want to do in life and they have been pretty much tied down to the business, Jay is 56 years old and still young enough to pretty much do anything he pleases. They start their sales on Feb 2, However the place was a zoo on Friday with allot of merchandise going out at regular prices.... I put together a Goodie bag of about $800.00 worth of items and when checked out with Jay I was pleasantly surprise!!!! I never asked for the discount!!! Basically a good friend helping out a good friend. I typically get a discount from Jay but not like the I got on Friday. Even though I didn't get it today, I didn't look at it or play with it until today. The biggest score I got was a Iwata TH Airbrush with a MAC valve, I have a TH but not with The MAC valve, This thing so Awesome, I Have many Airbrushes and this is by far my favorite, if I had only one in my arsenal this would be the One!!!!!!

Filling And Sanding in Tight Areas?
jwrass replied to impcon's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I personally have not had much success with the Sanding Needles as they seem to lose their adbrasives quickly ( Maybe I just got a bad batch) I like to us popcicle sticks, tongue depressors and wooden dowels. Spray the wood and the sand paper with some 3M Super 77 adhesive, stick them together and cut to any angle you like with a old pair of tin snips. Works great for me! -
The hits keep coming! I post tie a yellow ribbon yesterday and have that song in my head all day! Now Mac Davis.... Geez
-
I voted it's all been done before, I really don't think about it. That's probably a paradox!!! When I think of it in a generic form there are only many kits on the market and infinate ways to build them, so maybe my answer should have been, I try to be original but not critical. I build for myself with the thought of artistic license! The thing that drives me nuts with Race Cars is the interpretation of what is and what isn't ! There is so much chatter of you didn't do this right or that's wrong is a load of hooey. if you have ever been involved in racing as a driver or crew member you rarely bring the same car to the track week after week, that's how you get a competitive advantage. Their typically is no wrong or right! I find it refreshing when someone does the what if build

I know Snake!!! I think I may be losing it Mike #3333 Ding Ding
