  1. This place was more of an rc place but they used to have a large aisle dedicated to models years ago. Admittedly its been probably 5 years since i had been there since they are so far away, but its really horrible now for anything but rc. No paint, only glue i saw was tube glue from testers. i mean, it got me out of the house a while but was a waste of time. At least I know now there aren't any good shops near me left
  2. almost 7 weeks for a package to arrive USPS from mass to nj (a 5 hour drive). it sat in boston for over 1 month with no movement. ebay had already refunded me because they assumed it was lost. once it arrived i paid again because i didnt want to bother shipping it back. i had already replacement paint from a different place and finished the model i bought it for. now i have another model from ebay sitting in Iowa with similar nonsense of marked as leaving but no movement. im really tired of usps. however, the closest hobby store that sells models is 45 minutes away. i took the trip yesterday and their model selection is down to just a handful of models, maybe 10 total, and none of them were anything i wanted of course. they also dont sell paint anymore, so it was a complete waste of a trip
  3. its been 2 weeks since i emailed them with no response. i i guess i will need to just use the warped pieces. my birthday is coming up and my wife was looking for an idea for me, and i was going to get another moebius kit. there is no chance of that now. i guess i will get a phillies hat instead. unfortunately i bought the models sealed from ebay and not a real store. if i had bought from a real store, i guess i could have returned it. i am such a stickler for my models being as close to perfect as they can be, these will probably never be built i would never pay for new glass. that is crazy. say what you will about revell, i never had to pay for a broken or defective part from them I emailed them again today asking them to follow up with me
  4. is the foose kit a lot better? is there anyway to make the foose look stock? For example, the grill on the foose, would the one from the roth fit into the foose?
  5. on the ed roth yellow kit, did you glue the doors. I have been researching this kit and it seems like the opening doors are a problem. they look great by the way
  6. went to a pizza place to pickup a sandwich. i paid with my card and as i was walking out, i heard one worker asking the other worker if i left a tip. i thought about it and realized how odd it was to ask that, especially since it was a pickup order. i didnt dine in or get carside delivery. my wife said i should have called the and asked to speak with the manager, but i didnt bother why do people think a tip is required on a pickup order. is it me?
  7. i dont know if this will help you because i cant find anything on color combinations, but this is supposed to be interior carpeting for a 48 ford.
  8. i emailed moebius last week for a really warped parts to see if i could get a replacement pieces, but i did not hear back. do they typically write back or do i need to call (is there a phone number to call)? this is not the first time i got really warped parts from moebius. i bought 2 of the 70s ford kits and both of them had warped hoods. more recently, i bought three of the 60s ford kits and two they have warped tailgates i think i will stop buying their products at this point.
  9. i use molotow chrome pens. i find the thinnest tips
  10. Rule#7b: make sure to pick the most treasured or expensive item in the area
  11. I do the same thing with duplicate kits. I also have some kits i love so much i buy several. the ramcharger i have 5 of them
  12. It looks great. i got a kit with the lindberg truck and said no way. Great work
  13. The old revell 65/66 mustang is an amazing kit if you like the fastback body style. The 67 fastback is sleeker looking This is my revell 65 kit from years ago. Its really dusty now but it does build nicely
  14. Honestly im more interested in the addons vs being coca cola. I like to have addons for diorama type builds. Thank you though
  15. I would do it but my models are in 3 rooms and not organized in any way. Its part if the reason my wife is annoyed with me
  16. Pm sent with screenshot. I get it every day.
  17. Most tamiya kits are quite good, and go together without much issues. They require glue, but are typically far superior to the revell and amt quality. you are quite limited on selection and most tamiya kits do not have engine details or a hood that opens
  18. I keep getting an ad for "inventions" on my work phone that looks like an "adult toy" i notified Google but i still see it. It wasn't an ad for an adult site, but it was an embedded thing with other silly inventions. This is a work phone so the only site i go to is this site and one for the nhl. Not sure why im being targeted for such filth. On my home machine i never see it
  19. I didn't realize there were different versions of vending machines. i tried last night to find a list a didn't have much luck Thank you
  20. I was looking at the amt coca cola cars and found most have the coke machine and a hand truck, and some have a case of bottles. Are there other addons in the coca cola kits besides these 3? I always loved little addons and many times get a kit for the addon over the actual vehicle Thanks in advanced
  21. thank you very much i will try to find this exact one. once again, great job on the kit. its really terrific
  22. the front clip (bumper/grill/headlight area) doesnt fit well. the rear attaches ok, but not great. the trunk is put on seperate, so you can open the trunk, but if i remember correctly, there is no trunk detail, so you would need to build a trunk if you opened it. i never did i am not a fan of the 67 kit, but only because the front clip is so bad. its like its too big.
  23. I have too many kits in my stash. I am borderline hoarding at this point. i have 25 kits in this room alone. Not counting my model closet and the other room. I suspect i have 75 unbuilt models. Maybe its not borderline at this point, its full on hoarding. When i look on sites to find kits in interested in, mostly i have them all. I have a lot of doubles because I like to have an extra in case of a mistake maybe one day i will stack them all up and take a picture
