  1. Here is the body. There is one dust spot, but otherwise it's perfect. I will try to compound out the spot. I still need to detail the body and puton the bumpers, side pieces, etc, but i want to let the paint dry overnight before i touch it. It feels dry, but i would rather be safe
  2. i have only done a 2 tone once. it was white and blue. i painted the lighter color first, taped off the white for the blue. then i did a very light clear coat. this way if any of the mask was not perfect, the clear would go under the tape, not the color. after the clear dried, i painted the blue and then removed the tape. it worked good. i did very light coats, and i had no issues wth removing the tape
  3. My wife told me i wasn't allowed to sell my car. Even though i rarely use it, she doesn't want me to not have one in case i do need it. Honestly I only bought the car when I did because it was being discontinued and it was a car i always wanted. i like the car and probably would regret selling it. When i bought it, i had a car that was only 2 years old, but i didn't want to miss out on the beetle. I managed to break even on my trade so it worked out.
  4. It doesn't have the stock bed parts. I got them and was looking for it because one of my other kits had a warped tailgate
  5. Not that in looking to sell my car, but i was perusing carvana and checked the value of my car I bought it brand new for 18500 after discount and incentives. Sticker price was 22000 aprox. Its 2 years old now and i have 12500 miles on it and carvana is offering to buy it ftom me for almost 20000. That is amazing to me. Obviously with the interest i paid, its probaby even with what i paid for it, however I owned and used it for 2 years. I am really tempted to sell it since i really dont need a car (12500 miles in 2 years, much of it was my wife taking it to work to give her high mileagecar a break) Im really torn in this. I could sell it and buy a mini cooper s or maybe a chevy colorado, which are more expensive, or just sell it and bank the car payment each month until i need a car
  6. absolutely terrific. this is an incredible build and looks amazing. great work. i love the rusted exhaust manifold and the dipstick. you dont see that hardly at all.
  7. austin healey?
  8. this is very helpful. thank you for posting this
  9. i have this exact one that i use for my rc cars. its great
  10. i know this kit is a ways away, but i found this auction from last year on bring a trailer. it has an all original 21k mile 240z that sold for over 300k. absolutely amazing https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-124/
  11. i did reboot it. unfortunately it didnt help. i dont have the same issue with my email on my phone. i can attach pics ok on that
  12. I watched the brand new movie "nobody". It was OK. It reminded me of john wick, but much less story. Honestly, i really only watched it because the guy from breaking bad and better call saul was the star. However the movie was more of a storyless shoot em up. Definitely not worth the 20 dollars streaming cost right now, but when it gets to a few dollars, maybe
  13. Here is the trunk with carpet. The body is washed and the trunk lid is glued in place, and ready for primer. Im going to try to primer it today
  14. After seeing this i ordered the hasegawa 240zg. It was a complete impulse buy. It supports to arrive this weekend, i need to finish up my current build before that. I am curious how the tamiya and the hasegawa will compare. I love tamiya kits because they always are awesome and we built, and every hasegawa i built has been very good too
  15. Thats funny. My cat used to do this as well. We recently switched litter pans (2 pans) and litter brands and once they were set up, both cats had to use both pans right away. Im sure it was a marking of the territory but, they are funny about that stuff
  16. This just started recently. When i click the link for click to choose files, and hit files. It defaults to Recent, which is empty. When I click pictures on the folder list it completely locks up. Currently i have to email myself the pictures to my my laptop and to post them
  17. here are the first pictures. not too much to look at, but i dont have the body painted yet. i will probably add carpeting to the back area, but i need to research how that looked exactly before i do. the rims look pretty good. i need to put the decals on them. i found my original rims are starting to lose the chrome, so another 2 days. I will paint them and see which i like more. Edit; i added carpet to the trunk since its highly visible. i will see how it looks in a few hours once the glue dries.
  18. I got interior and chassis built. I had to tape the door panels while waiting foe glue to dry. Pics tomorrow in case anyone is interested. Its weird how this build goes. Some. Pieces are nice and fit together great. Others were very convoluted
  19. this is now #1 on my purchase list
  20. my goodness. they are all so amazing. great job on them all. absolutely stunning
  21. I had bought 2 of these kits with the plan of doing factory fresh and then rustbucket. However seeing the lack of detail on the kit, i decided to do just one for now. I started to build the kit and found immediate that the rims were needed for step 1. Essentially since my rims aren't ready, it holds up everything. however I found in kit 2 the rims are spectacular as they are. Not shiny or fake looking. I decided to just use those. In step 1 you have a metal bar that you are supposed to HAMMER the end pieces on. I say this again. HAMMER. I Tried and tried but i could not get the pieces onto the base enough without looking like the wheels are diagonal. however, i found that since im not motorizing this model, i actually dont need the bar. 30 minutes of trying to gently hammer the pieces was immediately squashed when i cut those pieces off with scissors. it felt good. Anyway, i will take pictures shortly and update with some chassis photos. Besides that first step with the bar the build is going ok. Its definitely not a detailed replica as an out of the box build, but i think it would look ok as something on the shelf
  22. I msg him. Thank you
  23. The fellow picked up the tool bag today. He arrived 30 minutes later than the scheduled time, but thankfully I didn't have a meeting scheduled at that time. If he was 30 minutes later, i would have needed to put the bag at the door
  24. Really nice. I like it a lot. It looks very realistic
  25. they seemed to do an OK job on my wife's car. honestly, her car is junk anyway, i wish she would get rid of it already
