  1. maybe they get to use buttons, like press 1 for withdrawal. it might not use the touch screen at all for the voice version EDIT: I found this video that shows a similar touchscreen. this shows a blind man using the ATM with the headset. Doesnt look user friendly at all, but does look like they use the regular keypad, not the touchscreen
  2. im sure they have the same ATM for drive thru vs inside ones. also, it has an audio jack, so probably blind person might be able to plug in for vocal descriptions?
  3. other than in the post above, i havent seen the $ follow the numbers. i hope to never see it again
  4. that was the very first thing to go wrong with mine. that it went through alternators a lot.
  5. my first car was an 84 thunderbird 5.0. it was always breaking down, probably because of me though. it only lasted one year. i paid 1500 for it, but probably put that much into repairs. it did start my love affair for v8's though.
  6. judging from the cap color, i would think the wimbledon white is too ivory in the picture. it is just slightly ivory up close. of course you can't always trust the cap color
  7. i have always thought Wimbledon white was not a true white. it was a very, very pale ivory. i found this picture of newer cars with a true white and a Wimbledon white. the Wimbledon white looks really close to me, even though its 40 years newer. The tamiya TS-7 Racing White is very close to it.
  8. Thats unfortunate to read. I assumed it wasn't as good as the available kits because otherwise it would still be made.
  9. my corvette collection is growing. i ordered the 64 sebring corvette from accurate miniatures. i feel i got a decent deal on it. I also decided to buy this 67 mpc with the big blower. one final kit is the revell 67 coupe. with this one, i am going to build it as a dragster. i havent ever done a dragster and i think it will be interesting. , i started to work on my 63 1/16 mpc, and unfortunately i am finding quite a lot of warping. its not significant warping, thankfully, just a lot of pieces have a little warping. im trying to reshape by taping it in place, how it will go, but in the past when i did that, it never helped. i did read recently that using legos to hold in place with a bit of heat will help, so i might try that. the 1/16 was too expensive for me not to build.
  10. Just a very small update on the baby birds in the nest on my apartment door. There are at least 3. They are constantly with their heads up look for food. Im just hoping the mother is taking good care of them. I have become attached to them
  11. i used to work at a gas station over nights. it was always dead, so i started to work on the models at the key house, where the pumps controls were. anyway, i was able to build a full model in a couple of shifts, but i had gotten some spray paint on the table. the owner got mad, even though it just wiped off with some cleaning. he didnt care i built the model, but mad because of the paint. he said we could do whatever we want after 2am when the crowds were over as long as we stayed on site. there was a lot of free time there, so there was a lot funny stories (including a lot of police showing up because someone called them and told them i was dead, i was just sound asleep)
  12. any specifics? i am looking to buy an expensive model soon

  14. control and + key will also increase the font size if you dont have a wheel mouse. if you click do it multiple times it will keep increasing
  15. Years ago i accidentally stepped on a jellyfish. my whole leg was numb for a couple of days. I couldn't inagine a scorpion sting. Hopefully she feels better soon
  16. Unfortunately i haven't seen any that are complete. i think i will just need to be patient on this. My biggest concern is if they wont respond to an email, how do i know if they will be responsive on shipping or if there is an issue. Its a lot of money for me and more than in willing to roll the dice on. If it was unusually cheap, maybe, but not when its the same price as recently sold kits of the same value
  17. I used to be big into the 1/32 slot cars. I have 4 different sets and i would spend hours racing. I even have a digital set were the cars drive themselves and change lanes on there own. Really fun for people like me who only drive alone. There used to be a slot car place at a mall in pa but they closed down. They had big tracks you could race at. I remember the time i was there and a guy had a nice porsche kit that he put custom tires on and better motor, etc. The guy asked me if i wanted to race and i said ok. The owner of the store said his car was really customized and dont be upset if he wins. So i have this ford fiesta rally car that is really good. has weird ribbed tires and is generally good. It has a slower top speed but handles like no other. Anyway we raced and he was faster on the straight but i killed him on every turn. At the end i won because of the turns. Tbe owner was really surprised how fast it was on the turns. Anyway now that im working from home i had to take down the track to setup a work space, but im considering changing the area and mounting the work monitor on the wall so i can setup the track again
  18. There are 2 kits on ebay that im interested in. Both are very expensive for me and both sellers look new to Ebay, less than 10 feedback I emailed both asking them to confirm that the kits were complete without damages. Neither responded to message. Im not going to buy it if the "new" seller wont respond. Just stinks because I really wanted one of these kits, but only if they are complete. Im also not willing to roll the dice. They aren't unusually cheap either
  19. That's crazy talk i emailed a seller about a kit (not this one) and heard nothing back. i am not paying top dollar for an old kit without a response to simple questions of is the kit complete, and undamaged. why that isnt in the auction descriptions is beyond me. if they think by not putting it, they maybe getting something over on the buyer, it doenst work that way. if you tell paypal or whoever you paid with that the item is not complete, they will side with the buyer...or maybe they are hoping it just sits in a stash and never built?
  20. We have cats but theu dont ever go out. I only ever see 1 cat outside, so hopefully it leaves them alone
  21. about 2 weeks ago i found a birds nest on the wreath on our front door. last night my wife found the eggs hatched. there are 4 or 5 baby birds. they dont have any feathers yet and their eyes arent open yet. its so cool. i really hope they live
  22. OK thanks. by the way, i was able to find a revell 67 coupe today, but i just like to build different versions of kits. However, since it can't be built stock, i dont want to do it. i really only like to build cars that look stock. thanks
  23. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. this is the best thing i read in a long time.
  24. Can this kit be built as stock https://www.scalemates.com/kits/mpc-6357-1967-corvette-sting-ray--1150165 I dont really care for the hood/blower, giant rear wheels, etc. Does it come with the parts to build it completely stock? it looks like a prior version from 1967 is stock, so i wasnt sure if this kit includes all those parts.
  25. my wife is on customer support with the place she gets contacts, and she put it on speaker because every so often a rooster screams out from the telephone. I guess the customer service works/lives on a farm? it freaks my cats out, its really funny
