  2. wait a minute, they are highlighting the 7% that think chocolate milk come from brown cows, but burying the lead here...48% dont know how chocolate milk is made???? 48%. ffahugatz what!?!?!? 48% this is the world we are in now?
  3. i won the auction today for one of these today. it hasnt arrived yet, but im very siked. the only thing its missing is the chute, but i will not be using it anyway.
  4. the 3 baby birds seem to be doing ok. they are chirping away tonight
  5. it seems this story is not real. at least the part about them thinking it would suck the power from the sun https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/north-carolina-town-rejects-solar-panels/
  6. Here is one more under the lamp, but apparently its really out of focus.
  7. I taped off the body and cut the tape on the trim. That way i didn't need to be careful on the painting
  8. the trim is molotov chrome pen.
  9. Im done as much as im going to do on this. I think it came out pretty good. I had one mistake which required a quick touch spay, which almost always fails, but this time it worked out. I will need to polish the spot so it shines the same but really unless you know its there, you wouldn't see it at all. I had seen someone recommed loctite to glue on the mirror. it didn't work and unfortunately discolored the clear. Its what i had to fix. I went back to mid podge to glue the mirror on. Anyway im pretty happy with the results. i will always find faylt in my builds but other than not having any decals, im ok with this one. Big thanks to snake for the wipers. they look great Thanks for looking
  10. i will be honest, i really only care about the buggy. the trailer is great too, but i have had my eye on that buggy for years when it came in the other kits. they are just too expensive to buy. when this comes out i will be buying at least 2, but probably 3 or so. i will keep one bronco just to have it, but my main want is the buggy...and im going to paint it that sweet orange too. its so nice
  11. honestly, i cant believe this is true. although, i did have a conversation between my wife that insists brown eggs taste different from white eggs. i kept telling her they are the same except comes from a brown chicken.
  12. My wife has a ford escape. that is so tiny inside.
  13. Where do you guys think would be the best place to pre-order this. I haven't found it listed anywhere. Or maybe its too soon?
  14. I remember him from a movie with jim Belushi where Belushi was a con man and stole his adress book and basically his identity. i think they ended up at a cubs game maybe. i remember it being pretty funny It was one of the first movies i saw at the theater with just friends, no parents Edit. Just found it https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0103035/
  15. The body has been polished and looks quite a bit better. Got the chrome painted in the glass edges. I also have the glass gued in place. I think at tgis point i just need to put it all together and put the body pieces on. I dont have any decals, so its going to be a badgeless car, i suppose. Realistically I can finish it tomorrow i think. My one issue is the body is light blue but the glass it comes with is really dark tinted. i probably should have made it black or maybe white i have 2 more of this exact kit in the stash. However, i think it would be a while before i build one of these again. I have an amt 63 here, i have the revell 67 in the mail, plus a bunch of other vettes here that i will do first This wasn't a bad kit, just very basic
  16. im pretty tall and i fit in Volkswagen really well. i had a gti and now i have a beetle and both of them, i cant put my seat all the way back or i wont reach the pedals. i did have more room in my gti vs my beetle as far as overall leg room. i had a ford fiesta for a really short while, unfortunately for me it was too small inside. i was trying to buy the chevy spark as i had a lot more leg room in it, but it was on a recall for the dumbest thing and dealerships couldnt sell it until gm had a fix. i waited probably a month or 6 weeks. it was the day before i signed for the ford that gm had a fix and i got a call from the chevy salesman. by that time i had agreed to buy the fiesta and i got it on z-plan from being in mustang club of america. i still like the spark a lot, but i got my beetle for a steal, so when it was time to get rid of the tiny fiesta, i couldnt justify the spark since the overall price was almost the same as the beetle (both brand new). The beetle was only like 1500 more than the spark and my beetle is a 2.0 turbo, so it has a little bit of power, the spark does not. I am tall (ish) 6 foot, and prefer either very tiny cars, or pickup trucks, and of course sports cars. my wife was sad when i traded in my 2017 mustang gt for the ford fiesta. she loved driving the mustang with 425 hp but the mustang. that coyote engine is like nothing i had ever driven before
  17. i cant quite put my finger on what's wrong with the truck. ahh yes of course, its the meth bumper sticker
  18. After hitting a wall on the build because of order issues i moved forward with the paint. It needs a polish for sure but overall looks pretty good i think. The color is tamiya light blue pearl. There was minor damage to the hood when i got the kit. I thought I had fixed it sll but there is a really tiny spot still. Not big enough to worry about and i can only see it on certain angles.
  19. does this count
  20. i was probably 8 or so when i started to build kits. i was only allowed to use the glue, no cutters and no paints. it wasnt until i was about 12 or so that i was allowed to use tools. since i didnt have paint or anything i would finish most models in 1 day, and they were all glue bombs because the tube glue would shoot out like 7 gallons of glue for every squeeze. my little hands didnt understand gentle. it wasnt until i was living on my own when i was 22 that i started to really try to make models using spray paints for all the pieces to get rid of the brush marks. the one kit that will always stick in my head was the revell 69 corvette coupe. i loved that car and it was the first car i had ever painted the body. i brush painted it using testors red paint. i hate red cars, so i dont know why i did it in red. probably the only paint i had. i recently started my love for the early corvettes again and picked up the 69 kit. i have plans to build it and paint it red as a tribute to that build.
  21. purchased a model from ebay. it was shipped right away, very fast. it was coming from central pa to nj. it gets all the way to the post office distribution center 20 minutes from my house to be delivered today. checked the tracking last night and somehow it got misdirected and it is back in central pa, further than it started from. its back on the way, but now it will probably be 2 or 3 more days. usps is absolutely the worst.
  22. My wife and i briefly discussed moving to the midwest. we could buy a housr for 25% of the cost in nj. Im able to work from home, so the discussion we had was buy a house there, pay it off in 2 or 3 years while paying towards the mortgage of our current rent. Then after its paid off, work for 1 year saving everything we can. Then semi retire by getting a job there that is less stressful. Its a solid plan until we realized that we would be 50 in 5 years would never be able to fully retire. We would need to always be semi retired
  23. I keep trying to convince my wife to let us buy a sailboat and we will sell all our stuff and sail to alaska and catch snow crabs and fish and live off the ocean. She keeps reminding me im allergic to seafood so it wouldn't work. Meh on her logical thinking.
