  1. Have a built one (built in the 70's) and an unbuilt one from MPC. Both have injectors with no blower in the kit.
  2. Having been impressed with Phildaupho's build of this car, I decided to try one myself. Using his WIP ( Lola T70 Mk2 1/24 scale- Under Glass - Page 3 - WIP: Model Cars - Model Cars Magazine Forum ) as a guide. Had a 1/24th Tamiya Lola T-70 Spyder slot car body, found an MPC Ford GT MKIV glue bomb chassis with interior. Pulled parts for the front and rear suspension, engine, transaxle, headers, and wheels from an MPC Gurney Eagle kit. Tires are from the parts box. Paint is Testors rattlecan Nassau Blue lacquer with Wet Look clear gloss and a coat of Future gloss. Decals are from the robbed MPC Gurney Eagle kit. Not as detailed as Phildaupho's build but happy to have a Lola T-70 in the display case. Comments welcome.
  3. Outstanding. Here's a pic from their memorial gathering.
  4. Have an MPC 1/16 scale General Lee with the MPC 1/16 '73 Street Charger stock interior parts. What ya got too trade? MM
  5. Been working on a Lola T-70 Spyder being build using a Tamiya 1/24 slot car body. Had an old MPC GT40 chassis, and using the engine, wheels, front and rear suspension from a Gurney Eagle kit. Using Phildaupho's WIP as a guide. Lola T70 Mk2 1/24 scale- Under Glass - Page 3 - WIP: Model Cars - Model Cars Magazine Forum
  6. Outstanding build! You could have used the MPC Jolly Roger Maverick FC kit (a Multi-Maverick spin off). There's one that just sold in April on FeePay for $494.99.
  7. Outstanding. Have an original kit in its mailer box in my stash.
  8. Well, I've done a few over the years. Got a few more in the stash. The race is on the 25th.
  9. Great work. Minor detail but the box says Patent Pending not Patient Pending.
  10. But I bet it will list for around $40 now when it was sold for less than $2.00. in the 70's
  11. Oh wow, the Scorpion drag coupe (a reworked Astro 1 body on the Piranha chassis). One of my Holy Grail kits. Will be watching for this one. Below is a pic of Scott Colmer's customized build of a Scorpion Drag Coupe. MM
  12. Your eyes are better than mine. I count 3 rows of 11 cars, I think.
  13. Outstanding work so far. Included one of my favorite pics from the Indy 500 winners Museaum photo shoot.
  14. Will be following. Did a similar "What If" of a Butch Leal '65 Thunderbolt. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/166012-what-if-butch-leal-65-ford-thunderbolt-ss/?do=findComment&comment=2479670
  15. Got a built up off the Bay. Disassembled it and started over. It had not been painted or decaled but was glued with epoxy. Left off the rear body cover. Painted with Testors rattlecan Revving Red lacquer. Frame in semi gloss black. Rearranged the decals. Comments welcomed.
  16. Got one on the way. Thanks for looking. MM
  17. They normally do not restock the clearance items. They use the empty slots for new items. They will put a tag in the slot with the description of the new kit going there.
  18. Went by my local HL and there were 8 model kits at 75% off. AMT Wild Hoss Bronco, '67 Camaro, '66 Fairlane, Revell '67 Corvette, '66 Malibu SS, '69 Nova, '70 Buick GTX and AMT Kenworth Hideout truck.
  19. Swapped out better 3x2 carbs and air cleaners (thanks Belugawrx and Ragtop Man).
  20. Parts on the way. Thanks for looking. MM
  21. Yay, I'll take it. That is a front one, really need a rear (I see one in the last pic), but if not, I'll make do. Any other parts you might be looking for in trade? I'll PM you my mailing address. MM
