Outstanding build on a challenging kit. I read your WIP and because of your finished car, I drug mine out for the umpteenth time and tried to finish it. I am finally almost there (thanks to your advise in your WIP). Even got the stance lowered and the hood to sit flush over the carbs. The decals, however, were toast. Am trying to secure a Revell set off Ebay. Wish me luck. Once again, great build on a difficult kit.

Okay, let's try it this way. Here we have an MPC 1973 NASCAR Charger kit. Some parts have been started (headers, exhaust dumps and roll cage). I also have included most of the stock parts (complete stock interior, blower, stock bumpers, exhaust side pipes, stock air cleaner and slicks), from an MPC 1:16 1973 Street Charger kit. See pics. You should be able to build a semi stock 1973 Charger with these parts. Have included the Street Charger decals. There are some problems that you need to be aware of on the Street Charger: 1, interior dash has had the lower half removed (I don't know why) 2, one red taillight is missing (I made two new ones) the rear bumper need to be sanded and rechromed. Missing a battery and large wheels for the slicks. Look at the pic. Kits I am interested in trade: AMT Ivo Streamliner dragster, AMT Craftsman 1965 GTO, and the MPC Californian Custom Toronado. If you are interested and do not have these kits for trade, let me know what you do have for trade.

Great work. You have my respect for working with stickers. Have a Mello Yello Lumina on my work bench.

Up for trade: 1/16th Nascar "1969" Charger K&K Insurance

Well, here's a project I will never get to. A 1/16th Nascar "1969 " Charger kit. I combined the body from a DOH Charger kit with the rest of the parts (included) from a Nascar Petty Charger. Have made the screened grill inserts and rear panel filler. Front and rear spoilers are there. Have included a set of decals for a 1/16th '69 K & K Insurance car. Some assembly to the roll cage is done. Am looking for in trade: an AMT 1965 GTO (new craftsman kit), an MPC Californian custom Toronado and an AMT Tommy Ivo Streamliner dragster, or other kits. Let me know what you have if you are interested. MM -

Recreation of 1964 Model Car Science ad for AMT Trophy series

Wow, what a trip back in time. I have that very same ad saved in my pics in my computer. I have built most and still have some on the shelf. Thanks for the memories. -

Wow, that's way better than what's in the box.

Really liking the changes you made to this. Will probably do similar to my attempt. Could we get a close-up pic of the restyled front end?

Here's where I am on my '87 Elliot Coors TBird. Been on my shelf of doom for years. The Slixx decals are old so I probably need to spray the gold stripe as well as the red upper. Been dreading the masking job. Like your collection. I agree with the others on removing decals, clear tape works well.

Awesome Bill-d. Have you got a group pic of the ones you've done? I have an '87 Coors #9 TBird that I am working on, need to paint the body.

WonderWagon Vega Kammback Funny Car 1/25th
magicmustang replied to magicmustang's topic in Drag Racing
Thank you, Sir. Decals are by Best Hobby decals/ Jim heller/ Teresawulf. I used the 32nd scale set as the 1/24ths were too large for my 1/25th scale car. They are listed on Ebay: Don Schumacher's Wonder Wagon 1/32nd Scale Slot Car Waterslide Decals | eBay -
Here' another project that I finally finished. Started with an AMT Vega Kammback funny car body. Hood and upper fenders were lengthened 1/2 inch. Front wheelbase was lengthened 3/8's inch more. Fender fill in parts from Rocking Rodney Rat, thanks man. A whole lot of putty and sanding. Tires, engine, chassis, and interior tin (trimmed to fit) are from an MPC Soapy Sales Challenger FC kit. Wheels and front air dam are from the parts box. Decals are by Best Hobby Decals. Let me know what you think of it.
