Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Most parts are from the AMT Infini T dragster kit. Windows were lowered on the body. Shortened the frame, rebuilt the interior, seats from the parts box, headers being reworked from an MPC Outcast kit, engine from a Revell Ivo Showboat dragster. Wish me luck.

AMT bigfoot 10 monster truck

Nice build. I have one in my stash, need to drag it out. You tires need to be reversed, tread should point forward. -
BIGFOOT 1 & 2

Great work. Keep 'em coming. -
Like ea0863, I decided to change the MPC Cobra Chopper up a bit. Cut off the two fender snake bodies and put one behind the driver's seat. Closed the Cobra's mouth. Painted the seat to blend in with the body colors (also painted a seat black for contrast, if I change my mind). Paint is Testors Fiery Orange Lacquer and Testors Gold. Let me know what you think.

Ohio George Montgomery's MultiMaverick - Sentimental Build

Nice work. Your right about the kit being incorrect. Bob Crozier did a good job correcting the errors. RIP Ohio George. -
Due to inspiration from JollySipper's WIP tread on the same subject, I pulled my stalled project out and "Got her done". Had this in my stash for decades. Old Hardcastle & McCormick Coyote X by MPC. Used the chassis and engine from a Revell VW my son had built years ago. Wheels and tire are from a Lamborghini Countach my son had also built. Did use the lower side pods from the MPC kit. Paint is Testors rattlecan Ferrari Red lacquer, interior is Testors fabric tan, decals were toast (if anyone has some extra ones, I'll trade you for them) so I used close ones from the spare decal box. Let me know what you think.

Likely a very long-term project..... Building a Coyote X

Thanks, but I'm finished with what I can do with what I had. I will put it in the Under Glass section. Decals were toast, so I used close ones from the spare decal box. Have an extra set of Weber carbs and manifold for the Revell 1/25th VW if you need them. Thanks for the inspiration to get it done. -

Whoa! Just a heads up, test fit the windshield before painting, took a lot of sanding to get it flush with the body. -

Looking good. I have finished my VW chassis, VW engine, interior, wheels and tires on my build. Now on to the body work. -
Had some of the original match race car parts leftover in the parts box. So, I picked up a new release of the MPC 1967 GTO and built it according to the pic on the original box top. Paint is Testors rattlecan Revving Red, wheels and tires are from the spare parts box and decals are from Freemont Racing. I know Don Gay's 1967 GTO match race car had an altered wheel base but I was trying to replicate the box top build. Let me know what you think.

MPC 1967 GTO funny car as per the original box cover. Using a new release kit but adding some original parts from the spares box. Probably go with Candy Apple Red paint and Don Gay "Infinity" decals from Freemont racing. -

I built this takeoff years ago from similar parts that you mentioned. Body is a stock AMT '58 Edsel, rear wheel skirts were from the parts box. Chassis, wheels and engine are from the AMT Dyno Don '67 Cyclone funny car kit. Wooden door air dam was from a tank diorama kit.

Bought a new Pontiac Tempest OHC 4 bbl Quadrajet Sprint 6 with a Hurst 3 speed on the floor in the spring of 1967. It was a running dude, scared many a GTO for the first 100 feet. But they never got the head cooling right, burned a valve every summer and melted a hole in the head once. It was fun when it wasn't in the shop.

Great job on this. I built one using WhoopiKat decals years ago. I used an AMT Chezooom Corvair funny car body and had to alter the wheelbase. Used an AMT Rat Packer Chevy II funny car chassis. The Durham family contacted me and offered to buy it, but I felt it wasn't accurate enough to sell. What color paint did you use?

Noticed that there were several reduced for clearance stickers in the model kit section. Mostly quick builds (Airfix) and some Atlantis kits, (turboprop engine for $12.49)!

Yep, he started the '67 season as a injected only car, but added a blower as the need for more power arose.
