  1. Here's my mockup of a Bigfoot #1 on 48" tires. They're 1/32 scale 66" monster truck tires and wheels that scale out to about 48" in 1/25th scale.
  2. Paint polished and BMF applied. Decals next and then final assembly.
  3. Well, here is my take on the AMT Lil Red Express Truck. It fought me at the end, nothing that was to be attached to the body wanted to fit or be glued. Did make some changes. Didn't care for the exhaust stacks, so I left them off and added side extensions. Felt it needed a chrome roll bar. Different wheels and larger tires. Scratch built the double snorkel air cleaner and added the column shifter. Let me know what you think about it.
  4. Got it painted. Now to polishing and then BMF.
  5. They lost me in 2008 with the CoT and haven't watched a race since.
  6. The one in the pic from of the first car crush that was on the tree of spare parts from the USA-1 kit.
  7. Yes, the USA-1 has both roll bars. Although the extra non chrome one is not complete. I am chroming the extra rear bumper from the USA-1 kit and putting it on the front and using the chrome stock Firestone pickup rear bumper on the rear. Pic is of the parts tree in the USA-1 kit with the Bigfoot 1 parts on it as well as the USA-1 wheel backs.
  8. The suspension parts are from the current AMT USA-1 Chevy monster truck, they are the same as was in the original Bigfoot 4x4x4. The fender flares, roll bar and rear bumper from the Bigfoot kit are also in the USA-1 kit.
  9. Saw the Revell '71 442 and the 1/24th Monogram '55 Chevy gasser on the shelf at my local HL. The new release 442 might be worth the $39.95 with 40% off but not the old rerererelease of the TD Badman gasser. I passed on all the Revell kits at $39.95 even with 40% off.
  10. Got some work started. Chassis, wheels and tires and engine done. Some body work, not sure how I will hinge the front end yet. Am liking the "48 inch" tires and ride height. Still need a scan of the AMT Bigfoot 1 decals (1984 edition). Got one, thanks.
  11. Great builds. I am working on a Bigfoot #1 (first car crush) using the same parts as you did. Hope mine turns out as good as yours. Am in need of decals for a #1 (or a scan of such). I am using 1/32 monster wheels and tires to replicate the 48 inchers they first used.
  12. Love it. Here's what my 4 yr old Grandson got "me" for Christmas.
  13. Am in the process of gathering parts to start a project to replicate a model of Bigfoot monster truck #1 (first car crush). Have an AMT Firestone 1978 Ford 4x4 truck kit for the body, interior, engine and frame. Have a set of 1/25th scale monster truck suspension parts and a set of 1/32nd monster wheels and tires (that scale out to 48 inchers in 1/25th scale) on the way. Need a scan of the early AMT Bigfoot decals (1984 or 1989 release) if anyone can help. Wish me luck.
  14. Great foil work. Saw this wild build on the bay, hope you don't mind I posted it here. Merry Christmas.
  15. Found these bombs in the spare parts box. They look like B61 nuclear bombs in 1/72 scale molded in black. Can anyone tell me what kit they came in? Am in need of two more and their fins. Going to add them to a B-58 Hustler project I am working on. Thanks in advance to your help.
  16. Cool rebuild. I also have a glue bomb I restored on my shelf.
  17. One of my first blunder's was when I was just starting the hobby as a kid. I had won a new '62 Impala kit at our school model car contest. Being that the kit was free I decided to buy my first can of spray paint. I put the body on newspaper on the floor of our carport an sprayed. Being enamel paint I went inside and left it to dry. I did not notice that my mother was taking our parakeet's cage outside to be cleaned in the carport. When I returned to check on the body I saw it was covered in birdseed hulls and parakeet poop! My fault, I should have never left it outside. Wish I had had purple pond cleaner in those days.
  18. Man, talk about turning a sow's ear into a silk purse! Great work.
  19. Okay, here is my collection. A Hawk Chaparral II unbuilt, a restored Monogram 2D, Marklin 2F and a Politoys 2J. Also have a built IMC Chaparral 2E somewhere in my collection. Also here is a great pic (from the internet) of the Jim Hall's Chaparral reunion. From left to right in the pic: A 2D, 2F, 2H, Chaparral Indy car (2K), 2E, 2J and a 2A.
  20. There were 14 in all. Pic is missing Chezoom Hemi-Corvair, Piranha and Allison Thunderland T-Bird.
  21. The one in the bottom pic was scratch built from a Monogram 1/32 rear engine dragster.
  22. Zingers and Monogram Drag
  23. Walmart by me has them at rollback price of $1 for a 2 liter bottle.
  24. I like how he offset the "Oxdrive" to the right for a less obstructed driver view on the left! Also, less direct pollution of the dreaded methane "ox farts".
