  1. I would name it "INSANITY" the definition of which is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".
  2. I believe a good place for info would be here: Randy Ayers Nascar Modeling Forums :: Index (randyayersmodeling.com)
  3. Have Testors Bright Red which always looks more orange than red, will try it. Thanks.
  4. Doing one from my shelf of doom stash, although I preferred the Revell Jeb Allen dragster kit over the AMT Ivo attempt. Wheel pants are from the current release MPC Cosmic Charger. What color orange is that?
  5. As seen in "RoadHouse" movie. Decals added.
  6. Just picked up a Tyrone Malone Hideout truck at my local Hobby Lobby. Didn't know they ever stocked them.
  7. Man, outstanding work. I remember checking the mail every day in the summer of '63 waiting for my Revell SWC Willys kit from Auto World to arrive. Any interior pics?
  8. A 1971 Monte Carlo , 400 ci with 4bbl quadrajet and auto trans. Had one in 1991 but sold it, would like it back.
  9. Wow, great build. It inspired me to get out mine from my stash and work on it. I have made several changes so far. Now on to the body. Thanks for the inspiration.
  10. You done him proud!
  11. Do these count? I have an original MPC 1/16 Petty Charger kit with the clear hood and body as well. Also have an MPC 1/25 Mr. Gasket Gasser '69 Mustang with the clear body including the hood.
  12. More inspiration. Agree about the front axle. I think the header length changed.
  13. My wallet is safe again (already have three PL Charger funny cars in various stages of completion). Now Atlantis is another story, bring 'em on!
  14. Great job. I also enjoy beating the system by creating my own replica at a much lower cost.
  15. What if Butch Leal had stayed with Ford in '65 and ran a Fairlane 500. Had an AMT '65 Fairlane Mod Stocker kit, which came with most of the stock parts. Traded for another body, second seat and second hood scoop (thanks to RichCostello). Had the Cady decals. So I thought I would try a conversion. Cut up the spare body to fill in the Modified fender wheel openings (whoa, that was a chore). Wheels, door handles and carbs are from the Revell '64 Thunderbolt kit. Tires and headlights are from the parts box. Tail lights are photo repo. Paint was Testors rattle can Mystic Maroon lacquer. Forgive the chrome, my Molotow pen was acting up. Not great, but I'm glad to have it done.
  16. Now that I like! Great work on this replica.
  17. What it should have been.
  18. Still have a SAE mag from Oct 1990 with Doug Whyte's build of a 1969 NASCAR Dodge Daytona. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=264141
  19. Great build. I have a DML M51 in my stash. It has the parts in the box to build both turrets, the M50 Super Sherman and the M51 Isherman.
