DANGEROUS WHEEL ANTS...

Reminds me of: "Why do the British drink warm beer? Because their refrigerators are made by Lucas." -
Got the MPC Tiki Trike kit but made a few changes. Felt the roof was to low for access so cut it off. Also felt the seat back was to laid back for driving so cut it and moved it more upright. This left an open pickup box behind the seat back so made a tonneau cover for it. Rattle can Testors Fiery Orange lacquer. A quick fun build.

It's in the "Piranha" tow (Man from Uncle spy) car. Minus the top/front generator fan belt? -

Now that is good information. Never seen those before.

Have made some progress. Assembled frame and had to lower roll bar to clear coupe roof. Glued rear hood and rear panels to body. Traced frame and engine opening from Piranha drag upper to coupe upper. Cutout for roll bar clearance. Will wait to cutout for blower when engine has been assembled and mounted to frame. Starting to look as imagined. Sourced front air dam and rear spoiler from parts box.

Got a Piranha Drag team kit. Am going to try and build a Piranha "Coupe" funny car using the Piranha Coupe upper body and the Piranha dragster lower body, frame, engine, wheels and tires.

Casey, will the Mooneyes Dragster H1223 contain the complete "Parts Pack" trees or specific parts for the Mooneyes Dragster only. Man I need The Roadster Chassis Speed equipment tree badly.
-
The rear engine dragster can be converted to a FE one with a little cutting. Made the one in the pic from such.

We have a saying at our Model Car Club. "You will soon forget what you paid for it, but you will never forget you don't have one". -

Glad to help. Jungle Jim is one of my favorite build subjects.

Pat, really like that new build. Have one in the stash that I have started to modify. As for the weather, I live in a Northern suburb of Dallas, Texas. It has been below freezing since Sunday (we hit -2 Degrees F). My furnace died on Monday and we have been surviving on electric space heaters (got the living room up to 59 degrees F. today). But the state of Texas has learned a painful lesson. Twenty three percent of our electric power was coming from wind turbines and half of them froze to a stop. We have rolling blackouts and water pipes have been bursting every where. Oh, and the weather forecast says we should be up to 69 degrees F. Wed. Ah, Texas weather.

Like it. Built one myself. If it weren't for the screws in the bottom you would never know it was a snap kit.

Don't have the kit yet, but looking at the parts overview on the bottom of the box it looks do able.

Has anyone built a Piranha drag car using the Spy car coupe upper body half over the drag car lower half? Going to attempt this conversion. Was inspired by seeing Scott Colmer's Scorpion build.
