Dyno Don '73 Mustang Pro Stock "What if"
magicmustang replied to magicmustang's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models

Well, I've had this '73 MPC Mustang Mach 1 in my stash for years. Decided to build a Pro Stock out of it as it had most of the needed parts. I know the MPC "Minuteman" Mustang was not a real car, but I have an old incomplete set of decals for "Dyno Don's Pinto". "What if" he also ran a 429 Mach 1 Mustang? Going to give it a try. I read in the forum that Dyno's Pinto was probably painted Ragoon Red. Thoughts and suggestions?

Alan, great resurrection. Love that color.

Looking good Alan. I have an old glue bomb one that I restored best I could. Was missing a few parts but I made do. I couldn't bare to replace the front straight axle. So to give it more rake by shimming the rear spring mount more . It seems to sit better. Great job on that firewall.

Thanks Alan, but a fellow forum member is sending me a skull shifter and flame decals. I'm good. Gerald

I have them. They are close, but no yellow colors. I think the Revell one's from the '32 Ford 5 window coupe will work. I have some on the way. Thank you for your reply.

Alan, thank you for your comments. Coming from you I feel I have accomplished my intent. Decals are on the way.

Thanks, I have been told that the closest match are from the Revell '32 Five window Ford coupe kit. See above in this thread.

I am calling this one finished, until I can source out flame decals and skulls to improve it. Kitbashed from Revell's Outlaw and Tweety Pie parts. Let me know what you think.

Well, I am at a stopping point until I can source out flame decals and skulls. Let me know what you think. Will post in under glass Model Cars also

Well here is my WIP so far on an attempt at a Kookie Kar Klone. Kitbashed from Revell's Tweety Pie and Outlaw kits. Couldn't source any small skulls or proper flame decals yet. Don't know why the colors look different, the blues are all the same as the tubs. Let me know what you think.
