I am in the process of helping my step-brother downsize his stuff . His interest in models funs from scifi, horror figure and a few cars. Looking thru them I ran across these two. Not something you normally find. Was there any interest in these or were they "one no-hit wonders"?

I was somewhat surprised at differance in the chassis between the two. The 50 has the cross frame and the 49 doesn't. I would like to find some photos or drawings of the underside of both cars in 1:1 scale. I once owned a 49 and a 51 and probably spent a lot of time underneath them but that was 50 years ago and I can't remember how they looked. Definitely like the 49 better.

My plan is to do something similar to the Gibbons Kopperhead 50 but not try to just duplicate it. I am thinking about taking the Deville roof from the convert kit and using it as the back half of the 50 roof. Not sure if I will need to lengthen the doors.

Anybody ever use HOK Pearl Paste ? I found a jar of it while cleaning off a shelf. What clear would I mix it with ?

I use the Pearl . Mix it with Autoair Transparents or over color coat.

AMT made a few 66 Nova kits and also some 65's, But if you look at the kit tail lights and compare them to the pics my66s55 posted it looks to be a 65. Also the body lines are different

You might take a look at Duplicolor Dark Canyon Red , it may be darker than you want (not my build, just a google pic) I used it for the dash and package tray and Krylon Banner Red for the rest Satin clear used on top
