  1. It is a real shame . Arguably Norms T is noted to be the start of the T Bucket era. When I looked at the picture of the Lil coffin I think I threw up a little in my mouth, yuck
  2. Glad to see it survived (sorta) Too bad they had destroy the original look. It's like putting the Hope diamond in a plastic setting, "just ain't right"
  3. That's what I was thinking. May have to build a back before the future Delorean . Researching a stock car as we speak
  4. AMT and Aoshima are the same. Was there ever a Stock Delorean kit produced ? I have two of the Aoshimas and one AMT and was thinking about building one for a "Sports Car" challenge build.
  5. Well as an update I found some leather cording at Michaels. It was a bit larger (1 mm) than I had in mind but for this it will work.
  6. Used Future over Createx never had that problem. How much and what are you reducing the createx with ? I normally use 4012 reducer. In the past I just used water. The future maybe have issues with the 4030, it's not meant to be reducer. I have not tried it yet but one of the guys in our local club reduces the Createx with future and gets good results.
  7. Your right I am trying not to have to paint it after it is put on. I do use the Tamyia to soften it, that's how I bent the half round on the front seat. I will make a trip to michaels and see if I can find anything that might be an alternative to thread.
  8. I am making sections with .010 sheet styrene and .080 half round for the back seat. Glueing on .080 half round on the front seat. And making sections with sheet styrene and .060 for the dash and the rear deck. I want the piping to go around the edges of the front seat and at the top of the rear seat. I thought about using rod but I want it black and if I paint it black the paint will most likely rub off when I bend it around the corners and attach it.
  9. Thanks for the info. Cant wait to try it
  10. Yes and contrasting from shiny to semi and flat give a bit more realism to the engine
  11. I use a satin clear, unless the car is a show car the engine is rarely shiny ,
  12. I am delving into Tuck and Roll interior and was thinking about using thread for piping. Would elmers be a good glue for that ? I need something that won't show on the thread when dry.

  14. Having worked for a Car Dealership (Chrysler/Plymouth) in the mid 70's I can say at that time not all dealerships worked that way. As an example we had a customer come in and ask for a rear main seal replacement as it was losing a lot of oil down the back side of the motor. Now this customer was a used car dealer that about a month earlier sold me a car that ended up having a cracked block and it was my lose. At our shop we discovered that the rear main seal was OK but the leakage was from the valve cover gaskets. While it was a good time for Karma to get pay back on the cracked block we replaced the valve cover gaskets and saved the customer money and time in the shop. That being said that is one reason I buy my tires at Discount Tire now instead of Les Schwab
  15. Thanks for posting. Boat is kinda cool. One of our local club members brought back about 500 pictures. I have only look at the first 100 so far but this one jumped out at me.
  16. Last time I talked with Charlies son the the car was in a museum in washington State. I don't remember which one possibly La May Car Museum or do I know if it is still there.
  17. Sounds cool .I will watch for it
  18. I believe the original Hot Rod Lincoln had a Lincoln frame also. Lincoln front bumper and it was black. . I planned on doing one sometime in the future and I have some research info on it. I will see if I can locate it you are interested.
  19. Not the "T" I was thinking of , but it will work
  20. It's like having to choose between chocolate and vanilla when you can have peanut butter cup
  21. Wondering what the "T" realy stands for ?
  22. I see some posts in the "General" section asking for advice that I feel should be in the Model Building Questions and Answer section. I may have done some myownself. But or me that's OK. It seems like you get more answers in the "General" section as more people read that than the "Question" section.
  23. Once my wifes cat jumped on my bench and knocked down a model that was just finished. I told my wife that the cat HAD to go.She said "if the cat goes so do I. I'm going to miss her.
  24. Checking farther , the Hot Rod article states he used a "Phaeton" another site states he used the front half of a Touring body. What is the difference between the Touring and the Phaeton? And most importantly does AMT's vintage Police Car have the divider behind the front seat?
