My thoughts would be to use Alclad Satin Clear over Black or Dark Grey

Gene Winfield shop for sale
Jon Haigwood posted a topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dear It's the end of an era!Everything has to come to an end, and a few weeks ago, Gene Winfield announced on Instagram that he had decided to part ways with his iconic Mojave shop. Yes. You read correctly. The shop, located at 8201 Sierra Highway in Mojave, California, is now listed for sale on Redfin. The property, spanning over 5 acres, is priced at $595,000. It features a vast workshop area with over 10 enclosed bays, office spaces, and a residential section.I have had the honor of visiting the shop several times. Gene has always greeted us with open arms and taken the time to show us around the property. For me, this has been one of my Top 5 US Tourist Attractions. I will miss stopping by here, but I hope Gene knows what he does and that he has a plan that will keep him busy playing with what he loves the most: customs, hot rods...and ladies If you have been dreaming about becoming the caretaker of a historic shop, you now have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Click here to check out the ad.When Gene announced his new venture on Instagram, he also told us that there would be an auction where he would be selling a bunch of good stuff. "Nothing from my museum or my special tools will be available," he informed. The auction will be held on October 7, 2023, during the 16th annual Winfield-Watson Gathering car show. Check out the flyer below, and let us know if you went and were able to buy some goodies!Enjoy the rest of the newsletter, and have a great weekend!Best Regards,Sondre KviptKustomrama Editor -

I picked up some Lime Line aways back but haven't tried it yet. I found by watching some videos from Little Daddy Roth painting videos. The main reason I bought it was it came in 1/16 inch and bends real well. Just waiting for a project to try it on, maybe for the stripes on one of my future Cobra builds. Check out some of the videos on youtube from Little Daddy Roth. They also have metal flake and other paint products but the flake looks out of scale for our use.

Would this be new car deliveries?

I use acrylics mostly and put them in a dehydrator to speed up drying. I found out that if you put painted parts that have tape on them it will leave a sticky residue on them. Not sure if this applies to all tapes but now no taped parts go in the dehydrator.

I would buy a couple

I use 3M blue vinyl tape 471 for the edges and Tamiya to cover the rest. I aways put a light coat of clear along the edge to seal it. The 3M comes in many widths and curves well

I was just asking. Not sure if I ever will be using that part of the Trans-kit. I mostly bought it for the engine for a Cobra
-
There is that. I have a whole mess of Cobras to put in a snake pit, I will see what happens after that. I have enough Mustangs to fill a corral trying not to add too many more. LOL
-
I have a 68 but no 67. From what I have found so far the hood and headlights are whets different. Hopefully one of our Mustang Experts will chime in. I did get the Trans Kit and engine today, looks great.

What is the odds of this fitting a 68 GT500?
