I don't worry too much about it either. I have found it better if they do not roll. I keep my models in plastic display cases & it's better if they do not roll back & forth in the case. If I need to move them for any reason, I don't want them "flopping" around. Seems pointless to me that they should roll anyway. I'm beyond playing with toy cars. Steve

I use resin as well, depending on what I want to make, but some of the alternatives do have their virtues. The nice thing about using something like Laser Bond for casting small parts is, the parts can be cast instantly. If you're in need of something "right now" you can avoid waiting for curing times & have the part in hand & ready to use in seconds. Plus, If I'm just casting a set of window cranks, It's a lot less "mess" than dealing with mixing 2 part resins & cleaning up afterwards. Steve

How about "Laser Bond" or "Bondic"? I've been making small parts with Laser Bond for some time. It works well. Steve

That was my thought. Is it really worth the effort when there are so many great paint options out there? Testors paints aren't all that great to start with, regardless of the metallic particle size. Steve

Most likely, a lot less Mopars, & a lot more Pontiacs! I have a bunch of old Bonnevilles to build. That's another line up I want to finish someday. 1958-1967. I have all of those, and the '68-'70 is not out of the question. Steve

Thanks so much guys! They were all great fun to build! At least that's how I choose to remember them! I'm still not ruling out making the finish line with my '62 300 convertible, but it's looking like an early January finish is much more likely. It's a '66 Helmut, & yes, it is by Johan. I finished a '65 in January of 2015. One of my biggest goals is to finish up the Johan '62-'68 Chrysler 300 line up. After I finish the '62, I'll just have the '63, '67 & '68 to go. All rare to one degree or another, I'm sure. But I'll tip my hat to the Maverick. The only one that hasn't been freshly tooled. Steve

I don't know how rare the Ramchargers Dodge is, but I know how difficult it is to find an original '64 Polara! Had my feelers out for one for a while, along with a Johan '64 Fury. Very few & far between for both of them! Steve

You're right Dave, I don't like the wheels! But what type of wheels you use is not pertinent to this thread. The '59 Lincolns seem to be getting harder to find all of the time. Steve

Beautiful Bill! I can attest to how rare the '68 Coronet is having just purchased one! Is the '71 Duster rare? I guess I don't know. I'm assuming yours is an original annual & not the AMT tool. I really don't know a lot about them. Steve

Great stuff Al! I especially like the Ford truck! The early Ford pickups are not terribly hard to find it seems, but they certainly fit into the "rare" category! And I love 'em! Steve

Great stuff Bill! The Edsel & Lincoln may not be super rare, But this isn't a contest to see who has the rarest build, just which is your rarest gem. I know nothing of the Barracuda. Maybe someone else will chime in to let us know how rare it is. Steve

Nice Tommy!! You know, there are a lot of these Johan Cadillacs that are very rare! The '61 & '62 Come to mind, but I think the later ones are every bit as hard to find. Steve

You never throw anything away do you Casey? I do have to apologize to Mike (Lunajammer). Seems that he was correct about the timing on the X-EL start up. I see that one of Casey's catalogs has a June of 1976 date on it! Much earlier than I had thought. Steve
