  1. I took a bunch of kits to a show last May and came home with about $350. If what you have is fairly common, I suggest you price them low enough to attract interest but also make sure you make a few bucks. Not sure exactly where you live but check the contest and show section here to see what may be coming up in your area soon. Unless you have experience selling on eBay and the time to track it, selling them there could be time consuming and costly. Best of luck!
  2. Was looking to buy this kit until I saw this review, thanks for saving me $20+ !
  3. Another beauty there Tyrone! That should look great hauling any of your builds!
  4. Charlie Hutton from the old TV series American Hot Rod (Boyd Coddington) was the painter of this car. It is owned by a couple from Nebraska.
  5. Walt, I have a couple of those under construction and they build up nice. Those blocks you added and have circled on the instructions are for the lifted version of that truck. If you omit those blocks, you will have a stock height truck but if you are using the kit tires, those blocks are necessary. Keep posting, maybe I will get motivated to finish mine!
  6. As always, another great looking build! Nice colors and details!
  7. Nice job on the long bed conversion! What I find interesting is that on this vehicle, many people are clamoring for a long bed and on the AMT 72 Chevy, many are converting it to a short bed! Short bed 4x4 pickups with plows are not too common but not rare. Most people I knew back in Northern Illinois went with long bed 3/4 or 1 ton pickups if they were using them for a lot of snow plowing. The smaller trucks were more common for small driveways and tight spaces. I believe the upcoming Ford pickups from Mobieus will be a long bed and a short bed. I hope that they consider a 2wd and a 4wd drivetrain option, i would certainly pay a few more dollars for that kit! Considering there hasn't been a kit with a snow plow offered in 40 years, I am glad to have this one and will add that plow to many different vehicles!
  8. Gonna be cheaper than buying a kit and taking the wheels from it.
  9. Swap the front axle from the Plow truck for the one in the Wrecker and your problem is solved, sort of. The engine detail on the wrecker truck is poor so if you are going for more detail, you will have to cut out the molded in engine and do some scratch building, not impossible, just takes a little time.
  10. Most likely was a special order but I don't think Ford makes a lot of them. Could have been a cab/chassis combo originally and then the bed was added either at the dealership or by the owner. I remember seeing a few trucks over the years like that but most of them were old work trucks that had the work bed (tow body, dump body, etc.) removed and a used bed added. At one time Ford had a short bed dually, usually with an extended cab or crew cab, not sure if they still have that available. Those were interesting to see! Build it!
  11. Thanks for the long run of fun Harry.
  12. Congrats Rich! Those are some nice models and look like winners!
  13. very nice! Us truck builders need some crew cabs and shouldn't have to chop up two kits to get them!
  14. Which is why I am a former subscriber.
  15. That is a nice looking engine Jeff, is that a floating alternator I see?
  16. The recently re-issued 66 Mustang builds up nicely and while not a Muscle car like a big block Chevy/Ford/Mopar, it was the beginning of the muscle car era.
  17. A lot probably depends on if there are licensing fees involved. Depending on whether or not this is an all new tire and size would also have some impact on the cost- modifying a mold versus creating a complete new mold.
  18. It was my attempt at a subtle warning to others. I have only bought his product at a show and feel that way about many resin vendors as it is a great way to examine the item before spending the cash.
  19. There will always be some good with the bad Michael. The ones you have listed are decent kits (and in some cases the only game in town) but your best bet would be to list YOUR top 10 cars you want to build and then ask for help in finding the best kits available to satisfy your needs. For example, Revell has the better of the 69 Camaro kits available and for accuracy, the Monogram and AMT kits for that model should be avoided.
  20. Says the man who got his issue a week or more before some of the other subscribers. I see nothing wrong with stating dissatisfaction with a service they paid for.
  21. Got one of those from Jimmy Flintstone, got to get it done one day soon!
  22. Have you checked with The Modelhaus or MCW ? That would be my first two stops for a quality kit.
  23. Interesting.......IIRC he left a few people waiting for orders last year, wonder if he made good on the deal? I bought some of his 4x4 conversion parts at a show, nice stuff.
  24. John, He is looking for a kit and posted in three different sections, over the span of several days, looking for it. It was responded to by myself and others stating a kit did not exist and he would have to find a 2 door and convert it.
