  1. Very Shiny! Nice job and that paint is beautiful!
  2. Very nice Shane, best of luck in the contest!
  3. You might want to spend some money on Donn Yost's videos, in them he explains a lot about the basics of modeling. He shows you how to improve your skills in a very easy to follow fashion.
  4. I just saw on the Tower Hobbies website that the 77 GMC Pickup kit with the snow plow has been delayed until July. The other day it was listed as May, so hopefully it is still on track for the 3rd quarter! I have a bunch on pre-order, would really like to have them soon!
  5. it gets better and more expensive as they reach their teens Shane!
  6. If the kit is of enough interest to me (subject matter) then I will be purchasing the kit and will get the instructions anyway. The only time I would need another set of instructions is if I lost or ruined them, in which case I could just buy another kit. The kit reviews in the mag seem to give a decent sense of what to expect, keeping in mind that the reviewer is trying to be objective but it still comes down to their interpretation of what they feel about the kit. Again, if the subject matter is of interest, a review may or may not sway me but having the instructions would have little influence.
  7. My comment about it having been deleted was not made in spite, just an observation as some topics have disappeared here lately with little or no warning. Not sure who was responsible for them but considering it was a moderator who started the topic, I thought he might know how/why. He obviously took my comment as criticism and made the comment with the nasty smilie face. The drama here is getting to be a bit much, time for me to drop into the background and watch from the sidelines. Life is tough enough, don't need any extra drama, that what my teenaged daughter is for.
  8. Must have struck a nerve............................................................................
  9. i just figured some moderator deleted it
  10. Fantastic build and very nice color choice! Best of luck in the contest.
  11. That is one very nicely built model and best of luck in the contest! To all of you who have decided not to enter because of this model, remember that the judges will be looking at photos of your builds and the best built model may NOT win but the best photographed one could!
  12. That should look nice when you are done Chuck. Not sure about school bus yellow but mayeb once I see it will look better than it sounds. What are you doing for an engine? A mild or wild setup? That Chevelle chassis is so easy to adapt to other kits, I have a couple of them just for that purpose.
  13. well then buy the first bronco kit you see and build it!
  14. Very clean and nicely detailed. I "get it" about the paint but that is close to a factory color. Well done, and keep them coming.
  15. that is nice! I like the wheel choice and it has that sleeper look to it.
  16. That is not a bad looking build, not sure why you are down on it? The only flaws I see is the stripe on the right rear quarter, which really isn't that bad, and the lack of a shifter, unless you swapped in a Chrysler push button trans!
  17. It's okay to advertise your products here, just don't sell anything
  18. What year are you trying to replicate, that can make a difference.
  19. It might be time to learn how to cast resin tires. I don't remember seeing those in resin, although I did not check Ma's Resins list, but he would be the first place I would think might have these. You might want to check with The Modelhaus, they may have something close or may be willing to consider casting them.
  20. X2 for me! I used to DVR some old TV shows on Antenna TV from the late 60's/early 70's and compared to today, there were hardly ANY commercials back then! I watch the Power Block as I find it interesting as well as the Automotive shows on SpeedTV on early Saturdays (Gearz, Hot Rod TV,). There is a show on here locally that is sponsored by AutoGeek that focuses on automotive detailing and waxing, kinda neat to see how far car waxes and the techniques for polishing a paint job have come!
  21. I just saw on the Tower Hobbies website where the 77 GMC Pickup kit with the snow plow is scheduled for June release! Gotta get my pre-order in for a case of those kits!
  22. Come up with that D series pickup (with 4x4 chassis & driveline) and I will buy several! While I appreciate the big rig pieces, I really dig the D series and Travelall subjects more!
  23. That is just funny to me! Thanks for the chuckle Skip!
  24. Very nice build Al and glad I could help! Looking at that car is like taking a trip back 35 years ago, and now I feel old!
  25. I wish I had known about this show, Columbia is about 80 minutes away and I would have loved to check this out. Thanks for posting the pictures!
