  1. SWEET SWEET SWEET, paint is very well done too..
  2. Nice Del Rio, doing one now myself..
  3. I don't waste a lot anymore, i trim the BMF as close to the size of the trim that i am doing, but practice is about the only way of getting wastage down.
  4. I used to swear by Maquires wet look, until i found Autoglym super resin polish, it is the best polish i have found for my models.. ( and my 1:1's ). Bear in mind, i only use auto acrylic paints, so that is all i can vouch for.. This was polished with Maguires, it looked good, but then i re-polished it with Auto glym super resin, the results speak for them selves. And this was only polished with Auto glym. These results are easy to get with Auto glym personally, all i can say is try it...
  5. 1mm heat shrink would do nicely i think..
  6. If your building "factory replication" stick with the orange peel, but i figure the factory paint was pretty ordinary, now days if i paid all those thousands of dollars for a paint job, there is no way i would accept orange peel, the factory painted them to a tight budget. All my builds are glossed to the max, as i like to build show quality style builds, but each to their own, there is no right way or wrong way, IT'S ALL DOWN TO PERSONAL PREFERENCE..!! ( and capabilities)..
  7. Bit of an update, anyone chasing John, he is back in the hospital, no, he did not blow him self up again, but he is getting some fingers fixed or added on or something like that, so if you are chasing him, or bits, bare with him, he will be back on deck will 11 fingers very soon..
  8. You chop or customize 1 part, and all of a sudden 15 other bits need to be modified to counteract the 1 you initially did..
  9. That is so very cool, i chopped one of these up my self, but way different to your'se, but this looks way better i think. Love the imagination in this build.
  10. That interior color really does work PERFECTLY with body color mate.
  11. I think the stacks are wild, i love em'.... great looking build mate.
  12. Thought you should be able to file or cut a bit more off that interior to make it work... but it's a pity you can't, it looked great in there. Save it for another build mate, never throw that stuff away.
  13. That paint and BMF really look great..
  14. That is a sweet green mate..
  15. That really is a BEAUTIFUL color mate, looks superb..
  16. Thanks for the heads up, i have one of these in the "to do" pile, Glad you stuck with it though, it does looks cool mate.
  17. That DOES look cool...
  18. Very nice paint job, works well with the interior color.
  19. Very menacing looking build, love it..
  20. VERY VERY NICE !!!
  21. That rolling chassis looks great, and the stance is perfect i think, even looks great in the silver base coat.
  22. I really like this project, way left field, yet still looks like it should be built, some one had VISION!
  23. This is turning out to be one really sweet build mate, i really like that wood finish, lots of great work so far. .
  24. That paint looks really sweet, and as for the speaker grill idea, i'm heading out into the shed now to find some old grills and bring them inside, so i don't forget to steal your idea one day. THANKS.
  25. The compressor should be fine, it will cycle quite often due to the small tank, but will be more than ample. I know nothing about the AB you have, but i have had the same Paasche airbrush for over 25 years, and only replaced an o'ring and a hose recently, so i will highly recommend Paasche. As for spitting, it sounds like your paint could be too thick maybe, or if your using the jar, try the cup, i find the jars are a bit temperamental. Can't help with the paints either, i only use auto acrylics. You could try a different thinner though.
