  1. Man are you right about King. I can't stand that guy. I think him and Tan Mom are equal in my book. I can do without either of them. I'm gonna have to listen to the replay Thursday or Friday for Sam Jackson. The little bit I did catch, it sounded like a great way to kick off the new year. I missed it because one of Arizona finest decided he wanted to introduce himself, lights and all. No ticket, but I missed the interview.
  2. It's official. GnR to headline Coachella. Now... What are the odds that the summer tour will actually happen?
  3. This is a great kit. I really enjoyed building both my Moebius trucks and trailers. My only gripe with the a Prostar is the frame is too short for my liking. It's great if your gonna build a "fleet" truck. If you want to stretch it, I have some frame rail material if you need some.
  4. Dammit boy, guess great minds think alike, LOL. This will be a nice build. Lookin forward to seeing this come together.
  5. That's a tough question. My best advice would be to eyeball it to where you think it looks right. For me, I think the kit length is short enough, but I've been accused of building long wheel trucks, from time to time.
  6. Nice choice. Can't wait to see what you do to this.
  7. Thanks. Hopefully things will work out so I'll be able to attend.
  8. That looks really Gino. I may steal the fine solder idea.
  9. Do you have or can you post a list of the classes. I'm just curious what they are. As much as I'm out here, I hope I can make it.
  10. Nice work so far. This should look great when it's done.
  11. Nice work on the steps. I may have to invest in one of those Choppers.
  12. They played the Whack Pack tryouts yesterday, I couldn't stop laughing at Artie and Bigfoot, it is. That segment gets me everytime. Today, High Pitch, I don't even know what to say about him today.
  13. You've finally joined the dark side, LOL.
  14. Another one of your builds I can't stop lookin at. Awesome man.
  15. Lookin good Terry. This is gonna be a really nice truck when it's done. Are you gonna leave the chassis as is or you gonna shorten it?
  16. I know. It's just something about the click and noises it makes, then the whole flapping it back and forth, which was totally useless, that's comforting.
  17. Hey, I miss Polaroids. Instant copy of your pic.
  18. Here's a few articles from 10-4 magazine. http://www.tenfourmagazine.com/feature/2004/5.html http://www.tenfourmagazine.com/2014/09/special-features/the-duel-truck-10-years-later/
  19. Iam sad to see this mag go away. I loved it. It was dedicating to the motor sport I've loved my entire, so far. I'm a drag racer, grass roots, small track participant. I love going to watch the big boys race, the smell of nitro on a crisp morning in Pomona brings an ear to ear smile to face. I ALWAYS bought this mag off the newstand, whether it was the grocery store or Barnes and Noble. I think my generation was the last to actually use a library for research for a school project. Our Internet was dial up and in some cases, we could go to the library, get what we needed and go home before some things were loaded. I'm sad to see book stores going away. I hope our BnN stays around for awhile. I enjoy going in there and buying mags and books.
  20. Not letting any moss grow are ya. That steer axle looks great.
  21. Here's a tip to help with custom look. I've done it on 1/25 wheels, but I'm sure you can do it on 1/16. Drill out the holes to enlarge them. The Revell kit rim holes look to small for my eye. Then you can paint the holes for a little more custom look. Here are a few pics of what I've done on Revell and Moebius rims.
  22. What you have going so far is awesome. The paint work looks great. Now for your frame issue. If you still everything, suspension, axles, tanks, steps and boxes. Go ebay and contact this guy... http://m.ebay.com/sch/i.html?sid=rhino9905&_pgn=1&isRefine=true He has some 1/16 scale stuff listed, but if you contact him, he may have frame rails with cross members. Now this depends on you having the "bolt-on" stuff for the frame.
  23. Sounds like a great project Gator.lookin forward to seeing how you do.this one up.
  24. I heard on the satellite today on Jim Florentine's show, a story about his nephew almost having his first drink of alcohol with Lemmy last year. Lemmy said no kid, you don't want to go down that road. So the kid had some lemonade, which Lemmy gave him. He had a "drink" with Lemmy.
