  1. I've seen this movie. It is a good one. I saw it once about 5 years ago or so.
  2. Awesome work Chris l. Great work extending the rocker panels. That was a great move buying a few pieces for reference and what not. The next drag races out there you should go and see if there are any old funny cars on display. Maybe there would be some parts on display for pics and more reference. If I end up going to Pomona in a few weeks I'll take some pics.
  3. Hello, I'm Clayton and I'm a kit hoarder. LOL Here's my stash in July of 2014. It is at least 4x more than the pic. Since I build mainly trucks, my truck stash is significantly larger, a couple cases of quite a few kits.
  4. Yep, your right. I got too excited. Maybe Round 2 could buy those molds. At least we're getting 2 old classic kits and potentially 2 more, which are basically decals on the ramp truck and a couple extra parts and decals for the other race truck. I saw where they may include both decal sheets in the ramp truck, maybe it would just be reboxing.
  5. It would be great to see Round 2 release all of the special mold trucks that AMT did. The Tyrone Malone trucks, Bill Signs and I'm sure there were others.
  6. Those are some great lookin builds Jim.
  7. Micheal, your plug wire material would be too small. It would work for lines on the motor and air lines in frame rails.
  8. Exactly. I'm really surprised I paid what I did for the Bill Signs truck. I hope that comes in 2017. It won't hurt as bad it getting released 2 years after I paid a pretty penny.
  9. Oh boy, I guess I better buy the wife something REALLY nice. I'm gonna end ordering a case of the race truck and the ramp truck. This is some really good news for those of us who couldn't pay the collector prices on the bay. Kinda ruins it for the guys who have had the originals with hopes of selling them for big bucks.
  10. You really want to get confused... When Pete came out with the clean air trucks in 07, they did away with the 378, 379 standard and extended hood. They came up with the 388, which is the standard hood and the 389, the extended hood . All built out of aluminum panels. To eliminate the confusion of the model designations... So now, you are correct with 388 being short, the 389 being extended.
  11. Let me know, I'll dig for it this weekend and set it aside.
  12. Happy Birthday man. I may have a bumper. If you end up needing one, I'll dig and see if I can find it.
  13. The first 379 I ever drove was an 88, extended hood. Big power 3406, 15 speed. That was an awesome truck. The second 379 I drove was a standard hood. I almost has an anteater feel over the extended hood.
  14. The cut line or scribe line, which ever you prefer to do, is just here where I marked it.
  15. The 378 is a fiberglass one piece, but it's the same design as a 379 standard. The 379 extended hood is much more square.
  16. The Barnes and Noble here in Victorville, Ca has never had it. I've been buying my copy from Hobby Depot in Tempe, Az. I like going into BN for mags and books. I would buy it here near my home instead of 450 miles away in another state.
  17. You could cheat this into a short hood 379. Basically scribe a line on the sides of the hood to resemble a multi piece, metal hood.
  18. This was my morning adventure in the middle of nowhere Arizona.
  19. Gary Wallace has a few different 379 conversions. You have to email him, he doesn't have a website. GWTRUCKS@YAHOO.COM Great choice for the build off. Lookin forward to seeing what you do with it. I thought of building the just issued day cab 378. But decided on the FLC.
  20. Pat, there are usually 2 air lines, red and blue. The lines themselves don't need to be color coded, just the ends to determine the service and emergency lines. There is typically 1 electrical cord, sometimes more depending on what type of trailer your pulling. I pulled a trailer with a lift gate and lift axle, there was an extra cord for the gate and a smaller cord for the axle.
  21. I'm guessin the build off has caused some of the ordering surge.
  22. Sounds like great project. Welcome to the build off. On the trailer, take your time. I used zip ties to hold the tank halves together while the glue dried.
  23. In the words of Riley... I bid good day to you, my kind man.
  24. Well, question answered. They're giving him a tribute almost like Eric the Actor.
  25. I wonder if there will be any mention of Riley this morning. I had to go check Google about Riley. The show staff was concerned about his cough, guess they were right. Look out Jeff the bore. His cough was just as bad as Riley's.
