Hey, real truck drivers know what cool is. This is what I'm going to building when I get around to actually building it. Long, low K100 with a spread axle reefer.
Thanks for checkin in fellas. I appreciate the comments.
I did a little more on this tonight. I did some "massage" sanding to the roof line, removed the wing wind and squared the windshield a little. I also removed the vents on the side of the cab. Next I'll be filling in the holes where the kit air cleaner and Luberfiner tank were supposed to go.
It's about time for John Bonham to go again to the next level. He's been gone long enough. The way things are going, somebody will joining the massive super group concert in the beyond.
I've always like Desperado and Take It to the Limits. This news just sucks. The future of music isn't lookin very good. I cringe knowing that people like Miley and Dweeber are what's popular.
Another great musician gone to that jam session of a life time in the sky. The sad part is, all these great musicians are getting up there their late 60s and beyond. The music world is really gonna suffer some great losses in the future. I know death is inevitable, but now it's close than we want to accept.
Finally got something going on this. I decided to do Tim Alborns poor man 379 conversion on this. I filled in the air cleaner cut out on the hood, then removed the intake panel on the cab. Next I'll spray some primer and start sanding the edges to make it more rounded like a 379.
Here's the link to Tim's directions. http://www.timstrucks.com/PB4.html As far as a decal maker... Modeltruckin.com He has decals, but someone to make them, maybe someone on here will chime in to help out. I don't have the program or a decent printer, other wise I would.
You can! Pick you up an Italeri 378 day cab, it's just been released, then scratch up or find a bed that you like from a kit. Tim Alborns site has the way to make it a 379. I've driven a few Pete transfers. I'm drivin a Western Turd transfer now.
Thank you very much everybody. My original thinkin before even buying the kit was classic black and red. I'm sure happy with the white and green. Definitely not the usual.
Dan Haggerty today, Alan Rickman yesterday. Some young Disney actor, Celine Dion's husband, Otis Clay, a few actors and singers from the 50s. Something like 16 have passed already this year.
