Thanks, this is the kit top, I chopped it 3" scale inches and reshaped it to represent a Carson top.

http://saberpoint.blogspot.com/2015/07/black-member-of-sons-of-confederate.html Ya'll don't know beans about history. This is a picture of Earl the mechanic that worked on all the cars while filming Dukes of Hazard, also known as the Chalie Daniels of the torque wrench.

Not a traditional WIP post, more of a what’s on my bench today thread. This is the Revell kit and I picked it up as a glue bomb at a swap meet a few year ago. Stripped most of the chrome, reshaped the tail end and added 58 Corvette taillights. The front is restyled with a Parts Pack grill, reversed hood and minor body mods. I lowered it as far as possible without cutting the frame up and dropped a fuel injected 409 between the front wheels with a custom cover for looks. The interior is fully custom. I’m not settled on colors yet, but it will be fun.

Very nice kit and even better looking if you remove the mold seams before painting. -
This entire thread is racist!

Help in disassembly of a built model
James2 replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hi Carl, hope your well! Got any pictures of the afore mentioned project? Would love to see what you're working on. I spent a few years just buying glue bombs and re-building them and the best way I found to disassemble them was slowly and gently prying the parts until the let loose. Some solvents can be used but 9 out of 10 times the old glue did what it was designed to do, MELT plastic together. If it looks like the parts are going to break while working them apart, I would scribe a line that would allow them to come apart cleanly. Your hardest pieces will be the glass and taillights. And if something gets damaged beyond repair, I'll just bet someone here on the forum will help you out! -
Nice work here, looks like a great project...

Either way it's a B.A. movie and your model is well done, detailed and weathered nicely. The wheels look great too!

Given to me by way of the widow of our good friend Al Auth, I'm honored to display it with my own collection.

How big is your... stash?

Wait, wrong forum... -
This is my tribute build to Al Auth (RIP), it is a resin body he mastered and gave to me years ago. Nothing to fancy just some basic custom touches I'm sure Al would enjoy. I used an AMT kit as donor, spare parts wheels, some styrene tube and wire for the French antenna, 1/2 round for the new side trim and a grill from the AMT parts pack. I did the window trim in black just like the 1:1 came without chrome. Paint is Tamiya with a clear urethane topcoat. Thanks for looking...
