  1. http://saberpoint.blogspot.com/2015/07/black-member-of-sons-of-confederate.html Ya'll don't know beans about history. This is a picture of Earl the mechanic that worked on all the cars while filming Dukes of Hazard, also known as the Chalie Daniels of the torque wrench.
  2. Not a traditional WIP post, more of a what’s on my bench today thread. This is the Revell kit and I picked it up as a glue bomb at a swap meet a few year ago. Stripped most of the chrome, reshaped the tail end and added 58 Corvette taillights. The front is restyled with a Parts Pack grill, reversed hood and minor body mods. I lowered it as far as possible without cutting the frame up and dropped a fuel injected 409 between the front wheels with a custom cover for looks. The interior is fully custom. I’m not settled on colors yet, but it will be fun.
  3. And now back to our regularly scheduled programing...
  4. Very nice kit and even better looking if you remove the mold seams before painting.
  5. This entire thread is racist!
  6. This should be fun to watch, nice mock up.
  7. Hi Carl, hope your well! Got any pictures of the afore mentioned project? Would love to see what you're working on. I spent a few years just buying glue bombs and re-building them and the best way I found to disassemble them was slowly and gently prying the parts until the let loose. Some solvents can be used but 9 out of 10 times the old glue did what it was designed to do, MELT plastic together. If it looks like the parts are going to break while working them apart, I would scribe a line that would allow them to come apart cleanly. Your hardest pieces will be the glass and taillights. And if something gets damaged beyond repair, I'll just bet someone here on the forum will help you out!
  8. Nice work here, looks like a great project...
  9. Either way it's a B.A. movie and your model is well done, detailed and weathered nicely. The wheels look great too!
  10. Real nice piece you have there, it's nice to see something different.
  11. Given to me by way of the widow of our good friend Al Auth, I'm honored to display it with my own collection.

    55 Chevy-150

This is my tribute build to Al Auth (RIP), it is a resin body he mastered and gave to me years ago. Nothing to fancy just some basic custom touches I'm sure Al would enjoy. I used an AMT kit as donor, spare parts wheels, some styrene tube and wire for the French antenna, 1/2 round for the new side trim and a grill from the AMT parts pack. I did the window trim in black just like the 1:1 came without chrome. Paint is Tamiya with a clear urethane topcoat. Thanks for looking...
  13. Nicely done. How was the kit to work with?
  14. OH LOOK, a squirrel!
  15. The 55/150 is resin and it was master by my friend Al Auth, sadly Al passed at Christmas. The Ravenna Model Car Club that he helped form is doing a legend build in his owner. The 56 long roof is a swap meet find purchased while attending a show with Al. Both are customs he would enjoy.
  16. Very clean build, nice details, great stance, color, foil and finish looks perfect from here. Out of scale chrome vinyl strip though...
  17. We got our dog from a guy who said it was a one of a kind breed, meant to bring happiness to the family. He doesn't bark, fetch or do tricks, just lays around, eats and scratches the furniture. I torment him with a red laser for fun sometimes.
  18. All though I was expecting a van under a river bridge with a campfire going, it's still a nice piece...
  19. Sound advice, great place to keep your fav mags. But what about your phone? Nobody looks at books anymore!
