  1. I'm having fun now... So I do have the PE parts and can figure out what most of them are. But some pieces leave me wondering. It looks like the best way to use the rear oil cooler is to remove the molded on one and fab up my own lines. I'm curious to know if there is an instruction sheet availible?
  2. Now go do a burnout in front of the local PoPo, to prove your worthy.
  3. OK, referance book in hand and cleaning up parts for primer. The chassis needs a little more smoothing but I'm happy with it.
  4. I have the chassis in primer and have begun assembling the engine. I was able to pick up a new Paasche VL dbl action on sale at H.Lobby for the great price of $35. I can finally do some paint work. DB let me borrow his book so this project can continue... Pix to follow
  5. I've been piddling with this one, found time to get it assembled. Still need to Alclad the bumpers, need to pick up some Black base coat first...
  6. It's amazing how many things are not visible until you take pictures and post them on line... But that's a great looking HotRod right there.
  7. That looks great. I like the scallops! So you sprayed Tamiya over the Duplicolor? Was it the perfect match brand?
  8. First time using Dupli-Color Perfect Match paint, cleared and polished. After setting for a week the BMF was applied. Pretty happy with the results and the cost savings not using Tamiya paint this time. This will most likely get put away for some time while I finish up another project.
  9. Stalled on the Polara for a minute, so I thought I'd add a little depth to the head lights on this one. Once things are filled and smoothed they should look pretty good...
  10. Last week I was able to not only get the primer on but managed to shoot some Dupli-Color also. I tried the pre-paint method for the BMF on the script which did not work out to bad. Unfortunately my foil had little to no stickiness and I had to abandon the foiling process for now. Disappointed in that but, pretty happy with the body so far.
  11. I'm glad to see this thread still going. Now if it would only out post the negative thread...
  12. I for one am enjoying this decade long build. Great execution, detailing and modifications...
  13. I really like what your doing here, very nicely done.
  14. Looking good...
  15. I had some time this weekend and thought I start the body work on this one. After washing and wet sanding I found that the trunk lid had four sink marks and the was a nick in the rear window chrome trim then got everything filled and smoothed. Thought I would try some Dupli-Coat Primer! What a mistake that was... I have told myself a hundred times just stick to what works. Into the Purple Pond and start over...
  16. I find this interesting...
  17. After looking at it last night, I believe I have an idea to not use the bumper at all. A great Fabricator by the name of Jesse James said "No matter the time spent making a part if it doesn't look good, don't use it" I really don't mind doing just that... Quick Mock up... Head Lights and Grill Reshaped rear with no bumper.
  18. I see exactly what your saying...
  19. Sectioned up this bumper this afternoon. I cut the ends at the factory seam and then spliced in the center for a license plate holder...
  20. Like it just fine
  21. Coming along nicely...
