  1. No matter the "State of this Union" I am now and forever thankful for our founding fathers wisdom, bravery and insite when establishing these UNITED STATES of AMERICA. Happy Thanksgiving!
  2. I saw a picture of a Blown Flatty and thought that would be perfect! So with a little imagineering and spare parts this is what I came up with. I think it will work just fine...
  3. The way I understand it, the tire business was taken over by a son. From what I read in an email, this would be considered a new product.
  4. Looking sharp, I like the right side 3/4 pic. You could detail the wheels some also, a little chrome on the lugnuts and maybe some blash wash perhaps.
  5. Interior looking great, nice job on the chrome...
  6. These could be the nicest tire sets I've ever seen... https://www.modelhaustires.com/

  8. Thought I might share an inside look at how I went about this chop, you can see where the cuts were made. One thing I did wrong is the vertical window cuts should have been closer to the outside of the body. This would have eliminated the need for that filler piece at the lower corners. I did this once before and it lined up so well hardly any filler was needed except to smooth the sail panels. The diagram below has been shared before but if you study the plan and follow the steps you'll be pleased with the results...
  9. Thanks guys, I’m still smoothing the sail panels out. Then I’ll add the drip rail back on. In the meantime I’m putting some chassis to it.

  14. I like an old rescue and I really like old Corvette!
  15. We kind of went from summer to winter this year. First time in a long time I missed that fall color ride...
  16. Well the winter weather has arrived and for me that means full build time. It's pretty tough to paint in the house so I'll keep building and waiting for warmer days. This is the 40 Ford Standard kit from Revell. I chopped about 4 scale inches out of the top and dropped the chassis as far as I could. It's shaved and smoothed and just about ready for some real primer. I have found that a light sanding coat really help get the body right. My old eyes are not what they once were. I guess that's what they mean by "going dim"... I scribed new door panels and the tail lights are going to be from a 63 'vette. The gray is Tamiya brush-on primer, it works well for small scratches and joint filler.
