  1. I'm pretty sure the reason they would not work is, because they are solid plastic...
  2. Lovely, well detailed and cleanly built. Wouldn't expect anything else...
  3. My father bought a 58 when he got out of the army. Wished he would of held on to it so the family could fight over who owned it now! Your model looks amazing. Clean and shiny, well done.
  4. I do like a good show like this...
  5. Some fine modeling here...
  6. Great subject and good modeling here....

  8. According to the two threads going, we seem to be Irked twice as much as we are Pleased. Perhaps this could balance in 2019... In a time where everyone is self minded and absorbed with division, I find by keeping my gratitude higher than my expectations, things are less irritating.
  9. I'm liking the other builds here and thanks for the interest. Chris, if it keeps you out of the dog house, I'll take the blame, glad to help... Here are some pix of the fit and way I went about fixing my hood. First I added a piece of styrene to each side as a guide/stay. Some slight tweaking and a little sanding did the trick. It should close the gap better once it is glued at final assembly...
  10. 1960 Elco being my fav, this is one of the nicest 59's I've seen. Great color, good stance and the attention to detail is spot on. Well done!
  11. Supernova! Super job on the body....
  12. Lovely! Great looking custom with the right amount of mods and colors... How did you do the green piping on the seats?
  13. Sorry to see you had to get stitched up, lots of pressure on those arms. But i do like what you have going on the Tweety Pie!
  14. Nice clean build you have going, colors and details look great...
  15. Losing an auction by $1is frustrating to say the least, hopefully one will come around again. Thanks for the interest also...
  16. Yes but what you are doing looks good...
  17. This might help. http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?color=Bolero Red&tditzler=71583&rows=50 This will help! http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/paint/catalog.html
  18. That's about it for now. Got the fit as good as my skills will allow, primed and back on the shelf.
  19. As previously stated, I only work on this model when I really feel like it. Because being "one of those kits" it will test not just your modeling skills but your patients as well. My first order of business was getting the body together and to align things properly. The glass is in pretty good shape for being tossed around in the box for years. I think a light polish is all that is needed. Next up is the roof. Here you can see a section of the drip rail missing and the first steps in correcting it. After some sanding and a rough coat of primer this is what I have. I then sanded this smooth and added another coat of primer, I show it with the rest of the body later. Thanks for the interest, comment as you like...
  20. Outstanding replica...
