I built a raced version of this subject once and this one is stunning. Great detail and cleanly built. The attention to accuracy is evident. Nice job!

Looking pretty nice so far, Any chance you can get the nose up some for a more gasser like appearance...

Here are some comparison pixs and also the interior door panel arched to fit the tubs. You'll notice the location holes for the leaf springs are in the same spot and while I did narrow the axle tubes for the tires they do fit under the body as seen in the previous profile. Keep in mind as I stated this is a mini tub chassis!

Are you suggesting they don't fit?

I hope you guys don't mind, I have quite a few WIP going. This time of year is building time for me, being near single digit temps and snow daily. Not just because of the inability to paint but because there is not much reason to go outside! This is the Revell kit and I have had this build in mind since it's release. Using my friend's "Jerry's House of Resin" https://www.ebay.com/usr/jerome6970?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754 mini tub chassis to get some wider rubber underneath. After some clean up I had to adjust the interior pan to fit. Also the interior door panels need rearched. I used the kit front suspension, modified for a lower stance. The rear axle just fell in place. Wheels are from the AMT 57 Gasser Vette and the rear tires are PPP, front spare parts. The hood is a combined effort from the kit and a Revell 69 Nova piece grafted together. Thanks for checking in, comments welcome...

Thanks Spike, I'm not 100% sure but I think the majority of the engine came from a Revell 40 Ford kit. I had a Standard and the Good Guys kits mixed together in one box. Most of the pieces where from my parts box...

Before this turns into a political rant, I'd like to comment, I find very few gentlemen here who are passive, naive or ignorant of the current state of the Nation, or the world for that matter. Most excellent! Nice 55, clean, shiny and all the right pieces parts. Did you alclad the bumpers? Is that a Fireball Carb? Although I was expecting a 56, My personal fav.

I have opened it and may have even posted there, I don't remember. But the entire purpose of this thread was to point out how much we complain and a reminder to be more thankful...

Two things I have not done, A fully fendered 32 Ford and a Highboy, take the HB off the to do list. Made from spare parts I have had in a box of Revell 32 Ford kits, 3 and 5 windows, roadster and the Rat Roadster kit. Engine is just a bunch of parts box pieces made to work, painted semi gloss enamel. Chassis is a stock Revell item with a drop axle up front and modified headlights. Out back is the Revell bagged Ford axle. Tires are from Modelhaus and the wheels are from ebay, perhaps Forward Resin. Brake drums are Revell kit pieces also. Interior is from the Rat Roadster. I made flat panels to fit and added arh rests, seat is a pleated bench I filled and smoothed. Finished with my daughters Apple Barrel Acrylic art paint and Gloss Black enamel. The floor is flocked. The body too is just whatever I could find that would fit or be modified to work with the rest of the pieces used. It is finished with Model Master Enamel Gloss Black, no clear. I like how the paint flow and lay down went, but it barely stays on the edges and sanding/polishing made things worse. Then final coat was spayed straight from a warmed can and left to dry. I used Molotow Chrome for accent and touch up and I like to use Future floor polish for some of the assembly. All in all I am happy with the build, hope you guys like it as well...

My father bought a 58 when he got out of the army. Wished he would of held on to it so the family could fight over who owned it now! Your model looks amazing. Clean and shiny, well done.
