  1. I can't imagine the time investment, the talent is obvious ! great subject also.
  2. Thanks for letting me in on this great under paint idea, and yes bmf is the best thing to come along since injection molding.
  3. So much time and talent involved, it is looking great! " Don't stop until you're done" is what granddaddy used to say.
  4. I repainted this Mini Champs 1/43 Mercedes C320 to match my 1/1 Car that I custom painted. Masked with BMF and striped with 1/64 inch tape from lineOtape. Also painted the wheels black and calipers red.
  5. Looks good, me being a 1963 Corvette fan and all. color replicates the stock silver blue, no clear still looks fine. and great dash!
  6. I like it, I like it a lot !
  7. Love it !...some great ideas and those pipes !
  8. I would hate...love...hate...love to see one of your slow builds ! Very inspiring.
  9. I like it ! and will follow, I'm an AMC fan, currently only have one 1971 Javelin. ( and no model of it) I'm a detail guy but I kinda like the curbside idea.
  10. Perhaps 1/8 60's wrinkle wall slicks, in full torque mode.
  11. Kari thanks for the great seat comparison photo.
  12. If you are looking for a good set of denim seats for the Gremlin check out the ones in the MPC 1978 Pacer X...much better.
  13. All very nice ! my fav? Ferrari...beautiful.
  14. Most any auto parts store, ask for 3M 06930 auto body repair tape. it's very thin and sticky and will wrinkle like the real thing in scale. you can cover the entire or perhaps like half a hood panel and burnish it down and not lose any detail except for emblems or name plates. in those cases I would remove them and later drill holes to look like a missing emblem. Just remember to cut off the plastic where you want the damage, post pics! good luck
  15. George, on some that I've done I would cut about the front 1/3rd off a fender or corner of a hood and cover the entire part with heavy self adhesive aluminum "auto body repair" tape then wrinkle the front thin area for real thin metal look.
  16. This is the first kit I've built in many years ( I used to be pretty good ) This was only built as a Christmas gift to my brother in law as his father bought one new. I used the AMT 1976 Gremlin with the six cyl. engine and bucket seats from a MPC 1978 Pacer X. I added my own plug wires and was very happy with the wheel detail. the paint color is 1997 GM code 88 bright purple with over reduced Nason clear. This will be wired to a case base and the hood kept sliding off so I added micro rare earth magnets to the back of the hood and fender aprons.
  17. I know the "sooner or later" feeling ,I have 2 or 3 that have been back in the box for decades but I'll never give up! I'll be watching this 'runner. great project.
