  1. What do people here use, short of ordering a can of the real thing. Model a's, T's, early V8s & 12s.
  2. Love it.
  3. Now why didn't I leave the flathead in there and build it stock. This is proving to be a lot of mods. are those rear shocks too "splayed"?
  4. I'll send yo the photos and measurements I got from Thunder V12. All the top components appear similar except the exhaust manifiods. PM me your email
  5. Stole some upper A-arms from a junk front end.
  6. Looks like the little extinguisher by the door may not have enough oomph in it to put out a fire in an engine that is running flat out. So A hobby knife blade container, a curtain glide and some odds and sods are coming to the rescue. They will become a large cart type extinguisher.
  7. Nice work. you say you had valve covers made. Where? They are like the ones I made for the 702 .
  8. The ones I know of were winched up onto the fifth wheel.
  9. What I meant is the ramp I showed is usually found alongside the tracks. They drive stuff up the ramp and over onto the flatcar.
  10. Those are made to load railroad flatcars. But a smaller version which matches the height of the Bedford's bed would work fine.
  11. Similar mods to the rear fender wells allowed the wheels to tuck in. I'll decide on the level of rake later.
  12. If they are going to ship cars all the time they need one of there on their back lot. http://www.blairline.com/ramp/
  13. Carl here's both together, they are similar but different.
  14. No. I wish it was, this one is a Ferguson.
  15. David, does that truck tilt" Ot is there an uloading dock & ramp "behind" the building.
  16. 2013 Boss 302, DOHC 32V-V8, 5L/444hp.
  17. Thank you Jim. Idid not know the other front end was in there.
  18. I am happy for you Robert. Hang in there!
  19. Yeah, I just noticed that looking at several photos. And depending when AMT brought that out,it is likely earlier than the 394. Looks like all I need to put it back is a pair of valve covers. I could put the Boss valve covers in the diorama. No sense wasting anything. By the way the photos of the original issues brought back some memories. I had built this as a kid and painted it red with black fenders to match the '48 Chevy my uncle was driving.
  20. Neat.
  21. Thank you Stu. Found the instruction on the web, it is the 394 (or is supposed to be).
  22. When you buy a bagful of engines you never know what you get until you take a closer look. I thing someone wanted a Boss 9 so he made one with a pair of valve covers. Anyone recognize the engine? Looks like a y-block to me, or a flathead. Just curious
  23. After playing with various positions, I found that if I removed the front crossmember and replaced it with a channel I could get the front suspension pretty well where I want it.
