  1. A yellow 71-72 Roadrunner on a flatbed, heading East.
  2. I do. Will not be using them. PM me your email.
  3. Mounted the body & installed the tailpipes. All that is left is to alclad and install the railing and the ladder, install the rear bumper and the front licence plate. then it is outside for a photo op for the "Under Glass" bit.
  4. The other side is somewhat better. The railing is done and in primer. It and the ladder will get the Alclad treatment.
  5. Thanks for the tip JT. I never thought of using thinner to wipe the excess rather than trying to hide it with blue. Good thing someone's thinking.
  6. Thanks Doc & Dan. The next step in the construction of the railing required some jigging. Since the decals in the kit might not show up over that blue I decided to make my own stripes using a stencil I had bought for my '34 Chevy. As you can see, it isn't made to go over small details, but with a few touch ups and dirty glasses it should look OK from 60 feet away.
  7. I just got one too but I'm planning to use it with a resin vintage Mack, likely a B61. So the cab and interior at least may become available..
  8. Started on the ladder and railing. Yes, it is woefully out of scale (probably 2 1/2") but only you and I will know.
  9. There is no cowl emblem on the resin cab. I found one on the internet, copied, enlarged, and highlighted it. Then I scanned, reduced it and printed it on a decal sheet. At the same time I printed the billboard sign of the business in my background dio for the door of the truck and the upper front of the body. Well, it was all for nothing as my decal paper is clear and none of it showed. I've ordered white background paper. Meanwhile, I printed the sign on a label and stuck that on the body and clearcoated it. Doesn't look too professional. I won't put any on the truck's doors.
  10. Absolutely stunning! Is your "real" open mesh as described in the WIP aftermarket or cut out of the screen door?
  11. Since I had the 1:1 out for a spin, I thought it might like to meet its little brother. Made a lame attempt at parallax, perspective or juxtaposition, whatever you call the setup in the second photo.
  12. Thanks guys, I think I'll buy one.
  13. Take your pick, it was produced from 67 to 90. 33 years. All kidding aside, there were some subtle changes over the years. research is required. Check Chuck's post. Quite a bit if info there. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88400
  14. I was looking at this the other day and it doesn't say what the other version is. Is it a stock version?
  15. A Mack truck, a pair of T-Birds and a wicked Audi. I get to drive an Audi like that on my iPad (Real racing 3) and it handles like you wouldn't believe. A model of it is all I"ll likely ever own.
  16. Masked the body and painted the deckplate areas. BMF'd the marker lights and colored the "lenses".Now I'm debatingwhether to BMF the compartment hinges and handles too. The other day I built a 331 Hemi for my diorama. Its sprues had some interesting curves to them. I think they will become the ladder and railing.
  17. I have been busy with other things. Will get back at it soon.
  18. I remember building one around 1974.So when the car was current.
  19. Looking good Joe. What size bit do you use on your distributors?
  20. Any year. I've had an 89, a 98 and currently own an 08. But it doesn't have to be like my 1:1.
