  1. Isn't what you he there a 300SLR?
  2. I've had this engine since 2018. It was sold to me as a Maybach HL230. Yet I still have to find a reference picture of it on the net. It does have the configuration of a 230 or even a 234 but is somewhat different. Is this some figment of someone's imagination?
  3. I love it.
  4. Should have left well enough alone. I had inverted the hood side panels. And of course I damaged them taking them apart to turn them around. This model is so incredibly brittle, it cracks just looking at it. Anyway here goes.
  5. Thanks Carl, we are on the home stretch. However, I discovered a huge mistake which might be too late to remedy.,
  6. Starting to come together. I reused the old windshield but might take it off. It is in poor shape.
  7. Added gutters, downpipes with wall anchors. Practised drip stains.
  8. And here we call them "gouttières" in proper French which is closer to UK English and "dalles" in slang French.
  9. Thanks guys. We have paint. While it isn't the unmitigated disaster I seem to normally get, it will need some serious massaging. However, the effect is close to what I was looking for.
  10. Thanks guys' Last night I tried my hand at doing streaks running down from the siding and ended up with smears instead. I'll have to do a bit of research. Meanwhile, I started on eavetroughs and downspouts.
  11. Thank you Bill. However I'd go easy on the imaginative. It is almost a copy of Geoffrey's.?
  12. Thank you. I hope the royalties won't be too high.
  13. Here's a few more. Better light, less shine.
  14. Geoffrey, how did you do the streaks below the siding? Or are they copyrighted?
  15. Here's an overall view of what is coming. Terrible lighting, everything is too shiny. Will tone it down, add some subtle weathering. But that is the general idea.
  16. Decided to go with the two tone yellow of the swoopy coupe. My light yellow isn't as creamy.
  17. The shelter is composed of square styrene tubing, sprue, popsicle sticks and a sheet of stiff paper. It will receive the same corrugated "siding" as the side of the builsing.
  18. Well, you certainly redeemed yourself. It was my first truck build too, around 1970 or so.
  19. Absolutely loving it.
  20. Danke Dominik. I've added a "steel" plate at the bottom of the roll-up door and a "cement" pad in front of the man door. Also laying out the shelter for the transmission rack.
