  1. Now I want to do a "behind the shop" scene loosely based on fellow member Geoffrey Wallace. A piece of plywood and the center panels of some cabinet doors provided the starting point. Gave a first coat of "cement" to the yard
  2. Later on I had used a photo of a local building to depict the front of the establishment.
  3. Many of you have seen my shop diorama which consists of a garage/restoration shop, an engine rebuilding shop complete with dyno room and receiving area.
  4. X2
  5. Added the engine turning.
  6. Looks a bit like the Australian slopers. I had never seen that one.
  7. The motor looks like it is all there. Turns out only the side covers have the engine turning finish, which will simplify things. Made a pattern and transferred to an image to see what gives.
  8. Started putting the chassis back together.
  9. They are beautiful though. Are these the ones? I just noticed that the kit's wheels are different from the box art. See first post.
  10. I don't like that hollow either. It would have to be different.
  11. I look at it as building a new model without having to buy it. I have turned a Cadillac cabriolet into a roadster, used part of a Duesenberg town car and turned it into a Henley roadster, turned the rest of it into a Packard sedan. just can't help it.
  12. It would be a separate one with the door intended to be the other side of this one.
  13. The decision has been made. The customer wants a roadster. he even brought a poster to provide a concept of his plans.
  14. I am considering a "behind the shop" scene like fellow member Geoffrey Waller's. Of course, it won't be as nice.
  15. The much maligned Vega 140. SOHC L4, 140 cu.in./110 hp. Made from a gift by Gary McNutt.
  16. It almost looks as if that shelf was made for it. An impressive looking load and rig.??
  17. Amazing what perspective can do. I still have to setup in the middle of town and try and do someting like Michael Paul Smith did.
  18. It is the Tamyia Jürgen.
  19. Or I could use the Packard body and do a far out Soutchik style boattail roadster. Are there any tutorials on doing pontoon fenders?
  20. Or I could just shorten it and do an Atalante style swoopy coupe.
  21. The Rolls body could provide the makings of this roadster.
  22. I have a Heller T-50 which has seen better days. I have almost fallen into the habit of modifying my old kits instead of rebuilding them. I am considering turning it into something else using one of these bodies.
  23. Nissan S20. DOHC 6, 2.0L/ 160hp. This is a resin piece by our fellow member The Creative Explorer.
