The bottom molding is in place. Looking to copy the spear at the rear of the beltline molding to apply it to the front at the cowl I have foil and clay imprints. We'll see how it turns out. Failing that, I'll attempt to carve one.

Hopped up Stovebolt. This is the 216 from the 1941 Chevrolet pickup kit with the "Speed" options. Intake manifold was modified to look more plausible.

OK. Here are all the old cars I owned. All except one had whitewall tires. And the exception had white lettering. That should point to my preference.

Absolutely! I concur.

Now should I put whitewalls on one side and blackwalls on the other side and turn the model around periodically?

landman replied to Ken Gilkeson's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
loving it. -
I visited two today, one in private hands and one in a vintage snowmobile museum. I think I got all the measurements and info I need. Small world. the man with the blue machine is the one who had restored the B18 Mack that had inspired my build here.

Removed the character line from the side of the hood. Started working on the interior...and yes, the dash will get dusted.

I'll keep you posted on how it fares. There is an engine rebuilder around here, called FTB who can convert it to inserts and full pressure lubrication.

I have three behind a mountain of flower pots. I'd have to dig them out. Can't do that for a while on account of cataract surgery.

Thank you Bill.

The pamphlet says 4.50 X16. I looked up the diameter and 26.20" would be about right. The ones in the picture look like GoodYear diamond tread. The guy in Montreal has some smooth ones too.

There is a stash, and it WAS in a storage room of the dio but it sorta has outgrown it. Now it has its own cabinet.

Why didn't I think of that? Sheesh!
