Gave it a shot of primer to highlight the details that are there and the ones that are missing. In real life, this would be a large vehicle. I think it has the potential of looking classy.
Found a pair of wind wings that looked like they might make. a nice vent window. After trimming them I decided to make some with a vertical trailing edge, I think it is classier.
I agree too. If I remember correctly from my Studebaker days (64 GT Hawk), the reason they didn’t do a convertible is thst the frame which was pressed steel was too flexible. However the lines were perfect for a convertible.
Performed the runningboardectomy. Found some that might fit with a bit of filing. And, of course, we are not discounting Eric's suggestion. I suppose that would be brown or gray battleship linoleum.
I had hoped to hide the seam in the running boards with a decorative plate but it is too small, so I'll likely replace the running boards themselves.Had to notch the frame to clear the down draft carb.
