  1. I hope when I build mine it'll turn out half as nice. I was given the unbuilt kit 30 years ago and haven't done anything with it. I like that it is the oldest kit in my stash.
  2. They do exist. No 409, just a humble 6. Not donked, or slammed. No hydraulics, no PS, no PB. Worst of all, 3 on the tree. I love it.
  3. A few shots from Holland, MI on June 09, 2024.
  4. Unable to get a picture, but a red Jaguar XK120 (or 140 or 150) eastbound on I-94 near Detroit.
  5. I understand this thing hasn't been in public for 50 years. I understand the kit is rare and brings high prices. What I don't understand why people go nuts over this fuggly thing. Definitely to each their own. I never did understand the appeal of these show rods.
  6. I don't understand the fuss. What is it about this thing?
  7. Well done on all three. The LP400 I always thought was the best looking before all the add-ons.
  8. A friend of mine that worked in the insurance biz called them "Donorcycles".
  9. Probably already mentioned, but how about the quintessential 80s cop car? Could be done as different departments or as a taxi.
  10. I would like to do Spencer Tracy's Dart police car from It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. The original kit is far more money than I can justify. I'm looking if anyone does one in resin.
  11. Be glad you didn't do this one: (great job so far!)
  12. Hello Erich! I'm from next door in Battle Creek.
  13. That was my dad. Started with Heathkit 8088 machines and hated when he could no longer use DOS.
  14. My other main hobby is Amateur Radio. I'm looked down at by some because I don't know morse code. It's on the to do list, but I haven't sat down and forced myself to learn it. I have fun with other aspects of the hobby. Actually, at the time of this writing I'm trying to work Indonesia on 15m FT8. 73, John W8JRD
  15. I wish I had your skills! Magnifique!
  16. I like that you can't even tell it's a multi-piece body! The colors just scream 50s. Great job.
  17. Pretty sure it was this one. The paint was taking too long to dry, so I put it near the furnace to speed the process. Result: blob!
  18. May I ask what you used to strip the paint? I've got a couple of diecasts here that need repainting.
  19. Dodge COE I don't know what I did wrong before. This link works.
  20. Sure looks like this one: https://jimmyflintstonestudios.com/NB284--1939-Dodge-Cab-Over_p_351.html Maybe someone else had the same idea.
  21. Jimmy Flintstone COE casting. I've got one and don't remember if it's a Dodge or Plymouth.
