  1. Answers for Monty: Headlights are just Elmer's white glue over the molded in chrome grill. Paint is Duplicolor BCC0412 Infernal Red Metallic over grey Touch N Tone primer, covered by Rustoleum Crystal Clear enamel. Engine shots are tough with my cell phone camera. Only detailing was some plug wires.
  2. If you have a Meijer in your area, they carry Touch N Tone Black, White, and Grey Primer. Price went up recently, last can of primer was $1.39. I would avoid the black and white; they're thin and runny. The grey primer works very well.
  3. Almost done. I need to attach the mirrors and some exhaust tips. Sorry about the poor lighting.
  4. I built one of these in 73. If I remember right, it came with the body in red metallic. Here's some bits and pieces.
  5. Slant 6 was supposed to be a joke. It is slanted, maybe a 4 or 6. No spark plug and the caption reads NCT-1000 Dodge Diesel Truck. It could very well be fiction, but looked interesting. The illustration came from a Swiss advertisement from 1961-62. I don't know my European diesels.
  6. Looks like fun https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2020/02/a-homebuilt-1920s-style-roadster.html
  7. Ran across this drawing of a Dodge NCT-1000 with what appears to be an inclined inline diesel. Who might have made this diesel?
  8. I've got one of these by Greenlight. Samantha probably got in a lot of trouble with her 427 RS with headers. Twinkle, twinkle.
  9. If the plug wires really bother you, you could always rig up a boot such as the one used on Mustangs.
  10. I like the rack on the trailer. It looks like it would hold everything, including a kitchen sink.
  11. I found the instruction sheet on my Charger ex-police car to have wrong part numbers, orientation of parts, and missing pieces. Kind of a work of fiction. Looking good, keep it up McNally!
  12. Love the look you're going for here. It looks like many of the improvised setups around Michigan. One comment though. Shouldn't the trailer axle be further back. It looks like it would be unstable to tow.
  13. Is that the Stig's red-haired step child?
  14. That's actually a picture of my old call sign reduced, printed on my laser printer and glued in place. My current call is W8JRD , but that plate is hiding from me at the moment. The 2 antennas are wrapping wire and are supposed to represent a dual band 2m/70cm and Yaesu's fancy autotuning HF + VHF +UHF.
  15. Missing pieces, glue smears, et al. Here it is:
  16. Last shots for the Charger. I lost the headliner piece. so if it ever turns up, I'll pop the windows out and polish them. Sigh, me and glue.
  17. Overall, a nice kit to build. Back to the cursed Charger
  18. My "cursed" Charger is almost done. Watch out for the fit of the interior near the A pillars. Mine was stubborn there and kept the front of the chassis from fitting properly. Minor trimming with an Xacto was needed. (And CA glue and NSFW words!)
  19. This is a darker blue.I thought about MSP, but then I saw a picture of one of the USAF chase cars and thought I'd go that way, but this blue is too light. So just a blue Mustang LX 5.0.
  20. Interior is more or less done. So far a nice kit to build, only problem is my impatience.
  21. While the Charger is swimming in the pond, I thought I'd start another project. First pic is the underside of the chassis with the subframe connectors. Second is plug wire detail. Third is engine in color and my grubby mitt.
  22. Rust-Oleum Sail Blue. Someday I'll have enough money to buy real paint. Sigh.
