I, for one, would like to see more pictures of the forklift. I have been accused of having a forklift fetish because of my 20 or so 1/25 lift trucks.

What did you see on the road today?

Went to the Wednesday night Cruise-In at the Gilmore Car Museum last night. I saw (among lots of others) an Edsel and a Morgan 3 wheeler. -

No camera unfortunately, but I saw a nice black 1933 Ford at the Dig-In Cafe in Augusta, MI. I had a nice chat with the couple driving it. -
I'll mention 2. First is my collection of diecast forklifts, every one I could find (except one Toyota that the owner didn't want to sell) in 1/25 scale. The other is Amateur Radio. I am an Extra class callsign W8JRD.

How Old Are You
heyjohnxx replied to iamsuperdan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
57 right now. I don't feel that old mentally, but on cold mornings I feel 77 physically. I started building in the early 70s and still have many of those kits. Most qualify as glue bombs I think. -
Great job Eric! What's the story about the guy in the back seat facing towards the rear?

Great looking Firebird. I've got a couple of these in the stash and it's nice to see one built. One of them may get the OHC six.

I saw an early 60s Ford F100, a 50s Willys wagon, and a 69ish LeMans Sport while going to the doctor's today. I tried to get pictures of the Willys, but was just too slow. -
You need a tommy gun for the "mechanic" there in the pics.

With it painted black, and with a dark windshield, I can almost hear the Imperial March from Star Wars.

I guess models don't count as cars on imcdb.org. Just trying to add to my scant knowledge of early 60's models -

It's just fun to try and figure these things. Thanks for the links. -
Tonight's episode on MeTV had a Ford wagon and what looked like a Fairlane 2 door model with Otis and Barney doing driving lessons. Any info on what models they might have used?

Thank you Art. Did anybody every do a 223 six cylinder engine? This would have been "the little woman" car and would have been either the six or the base v8. -
Thank you Art, I guess I should looked a little closer at the kits. I did the AMT many moons ago, and have blanked everything from my memory. My folks had a 57 Ford for a couple of years before salt cancer got it. I don't know if it was a sedan or a hardtop. Just looking for some general hints on what might look better on the shelf.
-
I'm looking to pick up one of these 2 door sedans. Plus or minus of these 2. I know the AMT is an older tool, but I read about the Revell having shape issues. I'm looking for a nice shelf model, so simple chassis is not necessarily a major drawback.

Whats the weirdest kit in your stash?
heyjohnxx replied to mustang1989's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Then you have the whole Japanese race van culture. The van of choice seems to be the 1990s Dodge (Ram) van for some reason. Pretty wild. Lots of videos on Youtube. -

I love the 61(?) Galaxie and the older Volvo in there.
