  1. Work of art for sure! On another board I'm on, there's a man who built an 1:4th scale working v8, if you got the time this is an interesting topic: http://scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=63547
  2. Do they have a webshop? For those prices it probably would be interesting to buy some kits and ship them over, I haven't seen prices this low in Europe...
  3. Lord of the Rings (All of them). The Hobbit (Looking forward to the last one). Shawshank Redemption. Star Wars. Scary Movie 1-2-3. Police Academy. Oceans 11, 12 and 13.
  4. Sorry for the late reply, didn't know you quoted me Scott: I think it means that the vehicle is stolen and someone bought it even when he knew it was stolen. I don't know what to make of it either.
  5. Thanks, now that I look at the photo's again, there are a couple things that I need to fix like the firewall and the floor behind the drivers seat. Next time I'm going to buy a bit of that BMF stuff I see on the cars you guys build. Gives it just that more "bling". Lucas.-
  6. I used Humbrol Baltic Blue, layed down 2 wetcoats followed by 7 layers of clear. Thanks for the compliment!
  7. Got this done today: Installed the interior, used a donor AMT Oldsmobile 442 from which I also took the engine, Rear wheel wells are from the Nova kit but cut out from the original chassis and trimmed to fit: As you can see, I already painted the chassis in the color of the body. Mockup shot how the engine fits: Also, I didn't have to cut a hole in the middle of the hood for the blower, and it still closes : That's it, Lucas.
  8. Thanks a bunch guys! The soldering looks good from a distance and not everything is straight, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Lucas.
  9. I've done some more work on this, chassis is soldered and I have removed the wheeliebar due to it's instability and it being a bit crude. Test fit: Since I wasn't able to achieve the stance I was going for, I opted for this: More to come... Lucas. Excuse me for the blurry pictures, the camera on my phone is acting up.
  10. I soldered with a flame, my soldering iron isn't strong enough. I'll upload some more pictures tonight. Lucas.
  11. Tried to solder a bit, didn't turn out too bad IMHO (Note: First time soldering) This is the stance I'm looking for, let's see if I can make it happen: As you can see, Everything lines up pretty good, it's far from perfect, but I'm really pleased with it: Lucas.
  12. I drive a 2001 Mitsubishi Carisma, 1.6 Liter 4 cylinder with an awesome 100 horses under the bonnet... Being from 2001 it has a pretty low mileage of 68.000 or 110.000 KM. Owned this one since I got my license 8 months ago and I love every bit of it. I'm thinking about a complete Evo 6 motor/drivetrain swap, in the first place for the driving experience, but also for making it a sleeper Enough talk, photo's are next: Lucas.
  13. Looks great! A buddy of mine has the same car, but only an 1.3 litre engine which got a little bit more power thanks to a Golf 3 camshaft. One thing to look out for on these cars is the A-pillar. They rot very easily and if you're not repairing it straight away it can get very nasty very fast. Lucas.
  14. Thanks ScaleDale! I'm gonna look for some of those here in the Netherlands!
  15. I'm starting with my first build here on the forums. I've chosen tghe AMT Chevy Nova Pro Street for this one. I will try to make a brass chassis for this one, which I'm drawing up now. Not sure on the interiour since I want to put a lot more effort in this one than I did in my previous models. Body is painted, so it's all about trying to figuring out how to do the chassis. I'm using 2mm brass tube and some sheet for the wheel wells, is there a bending tool that can bend 2mm tubes? If not, is there another way? Pictures of the body: Not sure about polishing since I have never done that before. Thanks for looking. Lucas.
  16. Hello, I'm Lucas van Hassel, 20 years young from the beautiful village of Landgraaf in the Netherlands. When I was 11 or 12 (don't remember anymore) I got my first kit from my parents, a Revell Chevy Silverado from the TRUCKS series. Since I haven't built a kit back then it was executed quite poorly, but I still have it and look at it once in a while to see how much my skills improved over the years. I mostly build stock kits with not much extra parts, maybe a set of wheels from my parts box, the only model I built that i did alot of work to is my '32 Ford Sedan (of which I will include photo's in this post). I've been building again since a few months so I don't have as many spares as most of you, you guys amaze me with your creativity! Other than that, I've been an RC car enthusiast for about 6 or 7 years now. I got a couple of on-road cars such as drifters and road racers, some offroad cars (Jeep, Land Rover and Toyota) and a couple of Big Rigs. My work eats up most of my time, so I only have a small bit of time to do stuff on my models, I'll be watching here and eventually posting my own builds. Pics of my Sedan: Only need to glue the grille in place and find a cover for the top part of said grille Lucas van H
