  1. Thank you to our veterans, alive and passed. May God Bless you and the United States of America. Jeff
  2. I always thought this truck and camper top would be cool to build. Jeff
  3. Beautiful model. As others have said, I thought it was a real Scout also. Great build. Jeff
  4. You have one of the original releases from the 80's. Hence the color of the plastic. Hope the decals are still good. Can't wait to see how this turns out. Jeff
  5. Very cool. Reminds me of one of O Winston Link's famous photos. One of my favorites here. https://www.jacksonfineart.com/artists/o-winston-link/hot-shot-eastbound-at-the-drive-in-iaeger-west-virginia-1956/ Jeff
  6. Guy has an interesting message. My first reaction as a middle aged man whose interest is in 50's and muscle cars, was kick them out, shut 'em down, impound the cars. But as I started to think about it, the original hot rodders back in the 40's-50's weren't too much different. They just had respect for other people and their property, mostly. I think he's spot on about social media and instant gratification ruining things today. Everybody wants to be famous and a utube star. And that leads to more outrageous behavior and less respect for other people. This is not just limited to the car culture world either. It's the continuing loss of morals, the lack of taking responsibility for one's actions, and lowering of acceptable behavior in the younger generations that will be the downfall of our recreations and pastimes, and even our society. Jeff
  7. Very nice rendition. I just watched/followed the real car on Drag Week, as it came through my area all week (southcentral PA). Was wild watching him try to control the wheelies all week with it. Didn't get to watch the racing in person, but watched the parade drive through my area and watch the 1320 coverage each day. Great looking model. Jeff
  8. There's a trucking company I pass on my way to and from work. They have some interesting loads sitting on their lot sometimes. Pics taken from a public road. Jeff
  9. My best friend owns a repair garage. I'm always asking him how he's able to fix today's junk. He's about ready to give it up too. Example, a couple of months ago, the starter in my Chevy PPV went out. No biggie, starters fail. He installed a brand new one and 2 days later, it failed. Borrowed the rollback again, took it to the shop and installed another starter. So far, it's been good. But my friend was out the labor of replacing the starter and the transport of the car. He's a good friend and wouldn't even think of charging me any additional time. But he's a fellow bourbon enthusiast so I bought him a good bottle for his troubles. Jeff
  10. Interesting and informative video. All I know about oil viscosity is that I had to use thicker Penzoil in my Scout to keep the valve cover gaskets from leaking, lol. Jeff
  11. My favorite role was as The Gent in Hell Ride. Rest In Peace Mr Madsen. Jeff
  12. I've got a couple of rock crawers. A Redcat IH Scout II and an ebay special Bronco look alike. The Scout is mostly stock except for the light kit, winch, and aftermarket wheels/tires. The Bronco was bought because my daughters always wanted to play with my Scout and were a little heavy handed with the controller. It used to be relaxing to sit out with a good cigar and play on my pile of rocks in the backyard, but I've kind of lost interest in it and only get it out once in a while. I need to rearrange my rocks and make a different challenge for them. I know you can sink a lot of money in r/c though. Jeff
  13. That's a good one, this will work too. Jeff
  14. Ok....., show me. I'd take it in a heartbeat. Me an Christine would drive around without a care in the world.... Ok, I want the Scout also, but I already have one in that shape. Jeff
