  1. Nice! Inspires me to to a Winfield-like one, too.
  2. I have the original kit that came in it, too--built (in 1969). I think I have a reissue in that box now. It's slightly possible I have two of those boxes--if so, I'll keep you in mind on the spare.
  3. Swap is right. They're dropping a Rat motor into that "SS350."
  4. I could have sworn I saw one Saturday, but I guess maybe that was a Fast N Furious version.
  5. I seem to recall a real custom '66 Cyclone convertible built with that wrist twist steering. Was it built by Alexander Brothers?
  6. Very clean build!
  7. I have that '69 Road Runner box. I don't have tha '56 Ford box, but I remember it vividly, and when I get around to building mine, it's going to be very much "inspired by" that box art.
  8. Yes, it's the same kit it's always been although I think lately they changed the figures for some reason. Biggest drawback is its odd scale, which might be around 1/40. Here's an in-box kit review: https://modelingmadness.com/scott/civil/trippreview.htm And here's one built up right here in our midst:
  9. Wright's Silver Cream, a silver polish available in the home cleaning aisle of Walmart. Works as well as any hobby polishing product and costs only a fraction as much. Been using it for 30 years.
  10. I had that very kit as a kid. Today I have about two or three copies of that kit, unbuilt, but not in that box.
  11. My favorite box art is the entire line of AMT '66 annuals. They were gorgeous! Their '67s through '69s weren't bad, either. In fact, much of AMT's box art through this era was beautiful. I have too many "favorites" to show or even list them all.
  12. Sweet!
  13. What's wrong with the Mustang is that the roof's much, much too tall. But what was the smaller Mustang--the one that looked about 1/24-1/25? Looked like a 1/24 diecast, but I don't know of any from back then. That '66 Caprice was cool, though!
  14. I wasn't ragging you about the kit, Ron. I just couldn't figure out what you meant when you said you got a Monogram '67 Camaro.
  15. Isn't that a Revell kit? Or did you find one in a Monogram box? (If so, where can I get one for my collection?)
  16. PoTAYto, poTAHto....
  17. Pretty sure I had--maybe still have--a Lindberg Mini-Lindy Ford Pickup with a camper on it.
  18. I found that thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/120554-dragula/#comment-1749541
  19. IIRC, our member GTX6970 built one of these up in just two or three days and it looked pretty darn good. Maybe he'll weigh in here.
  20. Pretty cool! Model on!
  21. I don't have that issue. Maybe I'm thinking of a yellow '65 Chevelle wagon--is that possible? I do know that I have two different campers/shells in '65 Elky kits. (What, nobody caught that I called the Elky "Superwagon"? Brainfart on my part on that one.)
  22. I don't have that particular issue of the Elky, but I do have at least one molded in yellow, and at least one with that style of cap. I have one with the larger cap, too--I think maybe from the '70s Superwagon issue.
  23. Very nice! You can be especially proud of this resto. No, the whole style isn't my thing at all, but it's a nice job and it's obvious that you restored it with much care and much skill. You done good!
  24. What's not to like about a '65 Riviera, one of the most beautiful designs of all time?
