  1. In the book "The Cars of the King" there another nice photo if the truck and Magnum, but the angle is from behind. I highly recomend the book, it covers all the cars R.Petty/Petty Enterprisses build/used...but don't know if is still on print, got mine years ago. To make a nice Petty Magnum you will have to rework the wheels openings...make them smaller and with the particular look this car had, also the sides "bulges" have to work to make them look softer at the edges. I have this same resin body and made the modifications and now it looks much, much better...mine will be of course a Petty car....but still undesided if doing it in the "black primer test version with STP logos" or a full color one. Good luck with your project, I like your idea and will look forward to see more of your progress on this.
  2. Superb looking patrol car...looking forward to your other police projects.
  3. Looks great and one of my favorite Petty cars. I saw your build process in another forum..the body rework and added race detail makes this a superb model...to the point that it has inspired me to restart and finaly finish my own that have been in storage for years!!! Once more great Petty model.
  4. You make it look sooooo easy...but we all know is not!!! Simply said....MAGNIFICENT and SPECTACULAR work of scrachtbuilding on an equally superb automotive subject. Your superb Vector model show us what you can do...now I am also glued to this thread and amazing project.
  5. Beautiful!!!, love the color combination.
  6. Beautiful Aston, the color, wheels and detail is fantastic, as usual you did a superb work and refit from the metal kit. Wish I could find one of these subscriptions 1/8 Aston Martins in the USA...at an affordable price
  7. Superb from all angles!!!
  8. That look GREAT and P.L. kits are not very "friendly in build stage"!!!!! Did you made the "c" pilar modification to the earlier body work look or P.L. kit is now available in this body style? Again your model and decals look superb. I am thinking of doing the 1976 Ford Torino "Truxmore" Lemans car and this same Charger.
  9. Absolutely MAGNIFICENT!!! Those wire wheels will look great once you remove the chrome and paint them metalic silver, these where not chromed on the real cars..and are one of the few exceptions which I am glad of that, the 300-SLR look much more atractive thst way...in my personal opinion and taste. Once more SUPEB master class on scale modeling is shown in your Mercedes race team project, can't wait to see it finish.
  10. Impressive work, looking great.
  11. As one of my favorite movie vehicles, you did a superb job and look great and in 1/10 scale must be an impressive model.
  12. WOW...you make it look soooo easy...but we know is not!!!! The 300 SLR IS another diamond in the works, the engine alone look magnificent...in the chassis...SUPERB!!!
  13. Thanks guys, really appreciate the encouragement and kind comments about this project, I am working on the rollcage now and some other details before starting the engine. Vernon, The JNJ Magnum resin body was a nice looking resin body...almost a collector item now, looking forward to see your Magnum project and thanks for the kind words about mine.
  14. I always wanted the Richard Petty Dodge Magnum in my scale collection...even knowing that the car was not liked by the King because of its lack of performance and power in the race track, I always liked the lines and look of the car...even more in the colors of the King Richard Petty. I was going to scrachtbuild a NASCAR Magnum body to do my project...but decided to use the already available SMH resin body as a base, what you see here is the "almost" finished body modifications to represent the Magnum, the main work was concentrate in dedoing the wheel arches and sanding down the square body mouldings in the sides, I opened the front glille and front headlight vent also. is till needs some final fine tunning but I think is almost done in the body department of this particular project. The black wheels in the pictures will be silver color in the final finished model.
  15. AirTrax does a Dodge Mirada transkit, I have one on the workbench right now. Is really a very, very nice resin kit and captured the lines of the car perfectly...it it expensive. .but worth it in my very personal opinion.
  16. Superb as always, I am "almost" finish with my 1978 Glidden Fairmont, must say that working with Scott Fairmont body and resin engine kit has been a dream, he REALLY do magnificent products. When you have the chassis ready I will definitely will have to get a third Fairmont body!!!!!
  17. Beautiful and superb looking model, also the color is great for this car.
  18. SUPERB as always! !!
  19. Looks SUPERB and beautiful, great job!!!!
  20. I think I have a copy of the maagazine with the 1979/80 Jenkins camaro article on it, if you do not find the post mention above, let me know and will email photos of the article.
  21. Even in mock-up stage the lines of the car look great, it reminds the Mercedes Benz W-196 streamlined race car...but a step beyond, REALLY like your concept and idea, will be following this build for sure.
  22. I have made cars from other completely different types of bodys, years and vintage...but you take it to a whole new level, simply SUPERB!! AND YES...if this is cast in resin...I want one!
