Hey thanks for the good vibes guys ? Lucas' ranch is supposed to be quite the place, that would be cool. I am the worst Star Wars Nerd ever, so would look like an idiot meeting someone like that. During research, I saw some pretty cool pictures of the model building and stop photography sets that the early movies used. The old movies have a certain charm to them that the newer overdone cgi cannot achieve IMHO. I hope this latest release isn't over the top with the cgi effects -

Oh yeah, sorry to borrow those tweezers, will give them right back I am not a railroader, but one of my favourite shops in Vancouver is Central Hobbies. They are full on railroading store and have so much stuff that isn't behind locked cabinets so I can go an pick through what will work The scaffolding is train bridge girder, the spotlights are oil drums and the lights are battery powered LED Christmas bulbs Making Spot lights: oil drums spun on Dremel lathe to remove seam lines, glued drum to it's sprue to act as support, bulb inserted bent and distal side painted black Pretty simple actually. This is a good time of year to find cheap battery powered LED's and you can chop em up and re-solder to your configuration

Ok Jim, got Irvin made and added in. He was a Hasegawa 1/72 weapons lift truck driver. I made him a fuzzy sweater and a hat. I think he has an Abe Lincoln or Fidel Castro look going on as well Still have final pics to do on W/E, will post more then

Hey thanks guys...it was supposed to be just the crashed X wing..... then saw the movie set photo....then got challenged to add actual lighting Was fun learning and combining stuff; woodworking for the base, made brass soldered supports for the background curtains, investigated silicone water effects, delved into painting figures, electronics and soldering.... Kind of pushes you out of your comfort zones

Oh I absolutely recommend them!!! Less expensive than Fine Moulds, better engineered than Revell or others. I did not need to glue anything on the X wing when I put it together. Great kits and thanks for posting

Hey, thanks guys If you are into this sort of Star Wars thing, the newer Bandai kits are really well done, go together perfectly and they have a ton of different subjects

Just to prove I have not been sitting on my hands doing nothing all year...movie scene diorama from Star Wars. Luke has just stepped out of X Wing, R2 hasn't fallen into swamp yet

Ditto for me....just in temporory digs at the moment so it is packed up safe and sound Pistol grip is easy to use, cleaning is as much of a pain as it is for any airbrush

Ahhh an acrylic RC body, I get it. That is looking super cool!!! I found that the scale measurements in RC is way different than modelling....for example1/8 wheels in RC are huge vs styrene kit
