Third time WOW for that engine detail Great build, and I am going to use that medical tape trick as well Love these cars, more of a Gilles Villenuve fan myself though You should put this into the "big Boys" section so it doesn't get lost

Ohh, good point, you are waaayyy ahead of me We are testing with them on pretty loosey goosey here as if I tighten them up fully it is a bugger to get off the hubs These cars had a weird camber on the front wheels, have that research somewhere. Not straight up and down for sure, look at the photo a couple posts above of those old cars in a row...looks "toe in" I think it is called I am just happy the darn wheels stay on at this point

Rolling out the red carpet huh. The RR is fit for a queen Good solution for the edging, nice and neat and clean. That leather binding looks great and comes braided as well. Tandy leather sells stuff like that

Oh, engine test fitted into her resting spot as well

Long time no action....err, Fujimi modelling action that is Started working on the interior tub and dashboard. Highlights are eight-ball shifter, pe shift gate, scratch aluminum rod e-brake and button and pe switches Old school mods to the dash bezels like a 250 gto' and buttons upgraded, PE foot pedals and salvaged a Ferrari script the hard way from that terrible PE set I showed back when. I have some fuzzy black material for the seats, carbon fiber decal, new Ferrari 3D logos and a few other tricks up my sleeve for this long term turtle slow build. CYa

1/8th scale Pocher F40 with Autograph transkit
Twokidsnosleep replied to SWAGON's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Both good ideas. If you use a silver solder it does polish up nice and shiny but I agree the coverage would be less than neat and tidy. The Autograph kit components make my F40 Pocher look like a Barbie vehicle in comparison. I just can't swing the $ for it right now. Please keep posting your progress -

Wow The seat is amazing and the carpet must have been layed by a professional upholsterer !! -
I thought those were reference pics of the real engine, wow, that is some great detail

Hello, Much more predictable site for you to show this lovely beast's transformation....carry on I shall watch and drool along -
Thanks bud, I have been oogling these for a while in the hobby shop My pop had a great tap and die set that I fooled around with as a kid. I showed my son this stuff and let him do a few threads as well. This opens up making connections for brass and aluminum rather than using just telescoping tubes and solder See, I really am trying to skill build before I kill a classic Pocher

Foolishly I have started out on my Bugatti kit, Bob. May have bitten off a bit more than my skills can chew!!! You were not kidding about the challenges, but I am getting into it and modifying things as I go along to solve the assembly challenges
