You have done a fine job on this, it looks fabulous!

Agree with both of you. I am collecting what I like so that I may build it when I want. I expect the Pochers to be harder to find in kit form in the future, but probably old beat up ones will resurface as collectors die and their relatives sell them. Then I can do re-builds But only red for Ferraris ,nah

Hardly a glue bomb Great looking version of your 1:1

Yes, there is history and lineage...but taste changes or we would all be wearing platform shoes and bell bottom pants! Now another blasphemy I have planned is to build a Duesenburg engine withought the God awful green engine block It is just so not a nice green I don't think I could stand to paint it that way If I were ordering a Duese in the '30's I would have changed the engine colour I definitely throw my support behind Skip as well. He has been helpful and supportive to me Ilike someone who speaks his mind.......even when he is wrong about chrome on an MG TC

Can we share that link please Other overwhelmed guys who buy too many kits would like to see it....that would be me And who in their right mind puts a picnic table cloth on their seats Leather, has to be leather Whew, that is better I am ok now Traumatic flashback to my dad's '78 Mustang II with red white checkerboard upholstery.....blasphemy IMHO

Would love to see it I like Ferraris in colors other than red

I agree with you The Scuderia and the Muletto are two more Alfa Pocher kits I would like Perhaps if I actually build these two first, then the gods of modelling will grant me access to the other two I don't want to turn into a collector, rather be a builder!

I would like to see a few pictures of that transformation

Loving the leatherAlex, that is another of my hobbies I have been drooling over these cars...all worth a fortune http://www.sportscardigest.com/kuwait-concours-delegance-2015-report-and-photos/?awt_l=EB0Rc&awt_m=Ifs8zBYDHes.C0

Alex, is this a new kit, partially assembled or have you taken an old completed car apart?? Are there other transkit companies in Europe we North Americans might not know about? I am full of questions It is such a beautiful car, you are doing very well so far
-
Thanks Tony for the heads up It is a partially built kit and I plan on doing a fully tear down and paint strip I knew this era of kits are supposedly not as well designed as the older Poachers, have heard that about the Porsche too I want, but I guess I will have to see for myself There is aftermarket stuff available so we shall see what I can get out of it. This kit comes with an engine transkit already If I could have, would have gotten the F 40, but am building a Fujimi 1/16 F40 already and Pocher F 40 and Carreras are very rare I am running out of Pocher models to collect that I like...they didn't produce that many different cars Guess I better start building some! Wow, what a collection! I like your display case there Alex and lovely models inside the glass You are way ahead of me in the Pocher collection, but we have similar taste in autos I have a few 1/16 and 1/12 kits waiting to be built Once I started the larger scales, I got addicted ! Ha, ha at least my wife knows where I am and what I am doing!

Yep, Tamiya tape is the best A bit of Isopropanol on a soft cloth...notice I said a bit...and gently rub off the tape residue....notice I said gently Love the metal letters, they look perfect!
-
A good evaluation and your logic makes sense to me I just bought a Pocher Testarossa a few minutes ago...wife is going to kill me
-
Looks very good. The interior is stunning What do you think of old Pocher model kits vs the newer versions? Are the Lambo's the same build quality as the old Alfa's, Rolls and Mercedes??

Cool looking progress Your soldering and construction is phenomenal -
Awesome build, thanks for coming here and sharing That is a very rare and expensive kit to have, you are very fortunate. Not many Pocher Bugatti kits out there; I am a big Bugatti fan, especially the Type 35 open race cars I have two Pocher Alfa Romeo's to build K71 and K73, just have not started them yet Have a look at the "Big Boys forum" on here it is in the Other Models section when you scroll little farther down on the forum list http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showforum=5

Kinky rubber tubes
Twokidsnosleep replied to Twokidsnosleep's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Now we are rolling I will try that wire/solder trick on the tubes that I have already glued and use the hanging weight trick on the ones not yet attached Funny how the simple solution is always right in front of you Thanks Guys!! -

1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018
Twokidsnosleep replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
How long do you allow the Alclad to dry before buffing it? Thanks for the detailed info on using it Scott -
Nothing riske or sexy I am fighting my rubber tubing that comes in kits as they are wound or tied up and come out all weird and curved when I unwind them Tried some friction to get them to straighten, meh. Worried I will melt shrink them if I heat them Anyone got a super simple way to get a nice straight tube? Example: See the curved grey tube on the F40 engine wip
