  1. Yes by all means, please post away some pics of Pocher Alfas I would like to see some Spiders of different color than the box top to give ideas Mine will not be coming along for a while...that being the point of what I was saying the last few pages when asked what was happening I am more in acquisition mode at the moment it seems.....thinking about buying a Bluenose II sailing ship
  2. Cato, I have been splashing some photos of a F40 I am making in this fujimi enthusiasts community build...it is a nice and slow, no timeline kind of WIP thread http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=95480&page=6 That is my current project, along with a little Bugatti 1/43 that I bought built, axemurdered and decided to restore on the sly http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99072&hl= Just in case you needed some reading to put you to sleep Hope all is going well for you two. I appreciate the chat and Pocher motivation; love to see you getting some time to work on your RR Scott
  3. Careful, Mr Skip has gone all Monty Python on us with his avatar.....we must be redy for something completely different
  4. Oh man, you rolled out the red carpet for your Rolls! Awesome stuff, looks perfect I am stealing that idea for edging AND the fan belt idea too from Joe Nice ones guys Ps are you making front seats???
  5. Ya, I know right, it should all be about me Cripes sometimes I even have to work if you can believe that That balance in life is a tortuous thing.....half the time I feel guilty for the modelling time I steal as it is Nothing gets me more than when my puppy dog gets up from her sleepy spot, saddles over to my chair and lays her head on my leg for attention. That is how I know I need to stop the modelling and do other stuff. Kids do same thing, asking for homework help or showing me artwork they are doing.....then I stop modelling and give them some time. Those Pocher kits deserve space, time, skill and attention..... so they wait a bit longer
  6. Oh man, I have 6 kits coming from e bay that I bought ; four Bugattis in smaller scales and the two Pocher Ferraris. And am winning bids on two more Ferrari kits I think I need to stop surfing e bay, like immediately! Cato, it is easier to collect them than make them
  7. Hi Cato, in a word Nothing I am currently 4,351 km's away from my Pochers and all my other kits Both are stored safely under my modelling desk awaiting their turns I have two Pocher Ferraris, both partially built, coming from E Bay when I get back So, in a nutshell, nothing going on for any Pocher at the moment, I am in acquisition mode We have a house demolish and re-build looming, so I don't want to break out any huge build that might get lost when we move to temporary digs. In fact, I think I will store my model stash at my office for safekeeping But when I get my workshop and modelling room done, then it is Pocher time!
  8. Love it Now how about some hand carved horses! I want to get one that fits the scale of some moulded horses, just to complete it You never cease to amaze me
  9. Harry's done a stagecoach??! I was just looking at a kit for one of those
  10. If you need me, I am just at the end of this path
  11. I fondled a couple lovely kits from my stash at home while the wife was away the other night Just wanted to look at them again, no time to start on them but wanted to see them, look and touch I feel so dirty!!
  12. Good for you, I am glad it all worked out in the end and very happy you didn't bail on it We learn more from stuff ups and unexpected outcomes in most aspects of life....it is what you do with those events that counts Congrats on the sale!
  13. Absolutely hilariously awesome!!!
  14. Hey, that is a cool story about him and F1 and Lamborghini I knew nothing of this and he apprently lives or lived near Kamloops BC where I was born and raised http://driving.ca/lamborghini/auto-news/news/walter-wolf-is-the-canadian-lamborghini-man
  15. Diggin the buttons and lapel details...and of course the awesome stash! Your build makes me laugh every time I see it....in a good way of course
  16. If you need a wood dash cut out from a pattern let me know.....I have a scroll saw and two somewhat able hands
  17. Great build, love the engine, interior and paint work You have done a fine job!
  18. Yes, that is an interesting point Not sure how they managed to have approval to duplicate these cars, but I am sure large volumes of money exchange hands with each sale Maybe some countries are less copyright paranoid than others??
  19. I got that little Bugatti last Friday Got a little carried away and then felt awful about destroying it and leaving it like that. Decided to let it jump the stash lineup and do some work on it So I contacted my good friend Skip Jordan and he identified this as an AMT 1/32 Bugatti type 59...he even had the instructions for it and a source for new wheels!!! Awesome guy that Skip is I began a bit of rebuild work with brass cross members and I have sand blasted the paint off the motor, firewall, seat and dash I did some brass sleeves and pins that the crossbars fit into. It really makes the frame tight and rigid..in a good way My soldering skills are still not great, so out comes the CA glue More later
  20. The air filter is hilariously good, love it
  21. Motor is looking great! I did the Tamiya 1/20 F1 kits as a teen loooooong ago Loved them then, but the detail at 1/12 is amazing. Your 'plumbing ' on that engine makes it look very realistic
  22. Cool build!! Good start with the engine...a Ford Cosworth, no?? Show us lots of WIP photos, love the Tamiya F1 cars
  23. This is gonna be awesome!!!
  24. Great job, nice photography set up as well Followed this build since the strait in your WIP...fantastic!
