  1. I am going onto bonkers looking for it now Dang not were I thought, but this is a cool Miustwng engine build with lots of scratch http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=91238&page=10 Gotta walk the hound dog before she explodes!!!
  2. That , sir, is awesome !!! You Frankensteined together a beauty I saw a thread about using fine wire around the pulleys to give them some more 3D effect with the belts...have to search for it Ever done that??
  3. I will get my kids to vote for you...I am not on face book unfortunately
  4. Great stuff, good to see you are making some progress Absolutely love the techniques you are using here Happy Easter Weekend as well
  5. Tucking that technique into the old thinking noggin Thanks for showing
  6. Absolutely well done Hard scale to work in and still get good realism and detail
  7. On my list the designer just drew out the space and threw in a bench on the wall I have been working on how to incorporate my equipment and benches and cabinets etc looking at houzz and pinterest Things are still changing as we get ready to take it for city approval, still have some sqft to shave,so I didn't want to get too far ahead There is a roll up garage door that I want to change to a big sliding barn door, the stairs have changed as well I think i will get them to sheath the whole space in plywood and let me do the cabinets and such
  8. Ok Tim, I guess I took that date from some other builds It will likely take me to infinity and beyond to finish anyways
  9. I looked at your early RR workspace photos and though holy smokes those things take up a lot of room! Now I have a built 1/8 and think "This thing is a monster!!!" With planning a house knockdown and rebuild, I am in the position of being in limbo for likely over a year....not so sure where we will live during construction. Been spending money on kits to build a reserve....because won't want to spend much or have anything left after house build So you are dead on. I am doing shorter builds, gaining skills, collecting kits, reading and designing a smoking nice hobby-workshop space. Mostly time and space issues keeping me from tackling the Alfas.....and a short attention span, yes But there will be time in the future as kids get older.....
  10. Thanks man, we shall see if I can make it fly Thanks for the comment This community build goes to the end of December 2015..... So rocket bunny , go for it!!!
  11. I am actually kinda stoked with this F40. Metal body, lots of detail. Not so bad, Cato it looks really cool. We shall see what the Testarossa looks like when it comes in a couple days. This Pocher has had an obvious fall and the front splitter and grill damaged as well as the hinge for the hood broken away. There are sprue marks and seam lines left on many parts. The rear window is loose, body alignment is off ? bent and the RR sags too much... likely a suspension issue. Some loose rattly parts inside engine bay as well. Now I have to contemplate if I tear it apart and fully restore or patch it up. I want to do the former but not yet. For now, I will probably leave it as is and display it in my private office at work until we move into the new home where I will have my new shop space I think I better make some nice big display shelves for these suckers....they are HUGE!!!!!
  12. Shhhhhh, dude you are supposed to be on my side Ya she will catch up to me. I keep deleting the paypal payment e mails before she sees them Oh well, I have a dog that gives love and attention
  13. Went home at lunch to let the dog out, but really b/c I knew they had dropped boxes on my doorstep The F 40 has landed Man my kitchen is messy, sorry http://s92.photobucket.com/user/twokidsnosleep/media/Fujimi%20F40%20Build%20one%20sixteenth%20scale/image.jpg1_16.jpg.html] Funnily enough my wife is on the warpath.....doesn't think it should be on the kitchen table Gheese, women
  14. I think it is AMT, will have to look after work.Color scheme is what I am after black/red Red wings???Is that the thing by the windscreen?? what is it for?? The kit wheels are like yours with the spinner nut
  15. Ok, Tonight I flared out some aluminum pipe for the middle and one side of the exhaust. Used trimmed shishkabob skewers as a mandrel that I chucked into the Dremel. Then a dental diamond and polishers to shape. Flared with more wood skewers tapped in. Here are three pipes on their mandrels and the assorted polishers There will be five pipes total...should look kinda cool. Might even torch them with heat to see if I can patina the aluminum.....or melt it and wreck everything. I know it is not Ferrari spec and deviates from gas monkey guys Let me know what you think, I am going to bed
  16. Haha, I just about sent you the whole bloody lot a few weeks ago, but decided I will use them on my 1/12 and even 1/24 builds What I don't put into the F40 will go into the other 30 something kits I have in my stash Sorry:(
  17. That is a great job of ID, thanks Will have to sit down and digest all of that. I do appreciate your time and efforts I think you will be disappointed with most of the PE when you get it for the 1/6 Fujimi I cannot make the exhaust gasgets fit anything, it does seem more 1/12 I added the Magnetti Morelli covers to the magnetos, but really they are too small as the Fujimi bolts are still on Thanks again
  18. That is freaking awesome You are my new super hero I have two Alfa classics waiting for me to do them proud when I am ready time and skill wise I would rather cut my teeth on these lesser exotic models than wreck a classic But I have wide interests too, so you gotta take what you can get in kits I have a cobra 1/12 waiting for me too. I want to do this to it
  19. Ya I am getting that vibe from this kit.... the exotic line isn't quite up to Pocher standards BUT, you gotta take it for what it is I am glad I didn't get too deep into the classic ones. I will make something out of both the TR and the F40 Is your 1:1 done?? Building that is impressive work
  20. I think it is the complete opposite of a curbside....all engine, no body Actually I WILL have the whole body to display along side, coming in a few days
  21. I will get there, one day Harry Maybe even mill the whole darn rim, that is where I am planning to go Maybe, if my wife lets me buy the lathe and mill
  22. Ditto my friend, ditto But we have to be careful when we buy stuff on e bay. It is a poorly done set with no instructions and some areas of mine are under etched and others etched away. In fairness, he offered to give my money back but I will make use of the PE for other things. I think I can use the brake rotors for sure, maybe
